Actor Jayam Ravi and his family have been in a tough spot of late. Last month the Santhosh Subramaniam star publicly announced that he is separating from his wife of 18 years. Jayam Ravi, son of editor Mohan, and Aarti, the daughter of producer Sujatha Vijayakumar tied the knot in the year 2009. The star couple has two children named Aarav, who made his debut in Jayam Ravi’s Tik Tik Tik and Ayaan. Over the years the couple had amassed huge envy because of their chemistry and has been one of the most followed couples in Kollywood. The news of their separation took everyone by surprise. Following Jayam Ravi’s press release announcing the divorce, Aarti made a note saying she was completely blindsided by the announcement.
Recently rumors connecting actor Jayam Ravi with singer and healer Kenishaa started to spread like wildfire. Addressing the press the actor denied the rumors and requested the media to not speak ill of others and asked for privacy. There are reports that the actor has set up an office in Mumbai hoping to do projects in Bollywood. Lately a lot of public commentary on Aarti and her family has been rampant across platforms. Now, Aarti has given her response to the developments on social media. She took to her Instagram handle, shared a note with the caption, “When They Go Low, We Go High.” Here is the post made by Aarti.
Aarti begins the letter by addressing the public commentary going on about her personal life and clarifies the reason for her silence, “In the light of the ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasize that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt. I have chosen to stay dignified and not respond to those trying to portray me in a bad light to conceal the truth, but I trust the legal system to bring justice.” She then goes on to elucidate that her statement from her previous press release was misconstrued, “To be clear, my previous statement referred to the public announcement that was claimed to have been issued through mutual consent. I maintain that this came as a shock and was not a reference to the unilateral divorce that is underway. It is unfortunate that my words were misinterpreted.”
She makes it clear that she still intends to have a private conversation with Jayam Ravi but has not been given an opportunity, “I still hope for a private conversation on this matter which till date has been denied.” She concludes the note by expressing her reverence for the sacredness of marriage, “I deeply respect the sanctity of marriage and will not engage in public discussions that hurt anyone’s reputation. My focus is on our family’s well being, and I trust in God’s grace for guidance.”
Actor Jayam Ravi was last seen on screen in director Rajesh’s Brother alongside actress Priyanka Mohan.
