VJ and actor Suresh Ravi was quite popular in the state even before making his debut in the big screen. The VJ made his first appearance in Tamil cinema industry in the horror comedy entertainer Mo which hit the screens in the year 2016 under the directorial of story teller Bhuvan R Nullan with actors Aishwarya Rajesh, Ramesh Thilak, Pooja Devariya and Mime Gopi in various other roles. The actor who was out of project after Mo was roped in to play the lead role in the venture titled as Kaval Thurai Ungal Nanban. The project which went on floors earlier this year is now out of the post production stage and is ready for release. Now the production unit has unveiled the teaser of the flick on social media.
The few seconds cut opens with Suresh Ravi getting stopped by a cop, Mime Gopi. The cop asks him to blow to see whether he is under the influence of alcohol but Suresh Ravi asks for a change of pipe. Then we get to see the actor getting married to Raveena. The in the following scene Suresh is seen waiting in the police station. Then we get to see him getting brutally trashed by the cops in the police station. There are scenes where Suresh Ravi speaks on the rights of civilians. The teaser ends with a dialogue on how people in power abuse and oppress the innocents and how the introduction of social media have encouraged people to speak up for their right. The hard hitting teaser also has some contemporary issues running in the state. Recently, the rights of the entertainer was acquired by Ravinder Chandrasekaran of Libra Productions and the venture will be hitting the theaters soon.
The entertainer is scripted and directed by debutant story teller RDM. Dubbing artist Raveena Ravi will be playing the female lead role in the movie. Earlier speaking about the film, the actress said that the entertainer will be a thriller movie which revolves around the repercussions of a terrible incident that happen to the character that she portrays. Speaking about the project, producer Ravinder Chandrasekaran stated, “In the recent times minimalistic budget films with fresh content have managed to garner the attention of Tamil cinema audience and have turned to be very successful in commercial terms as well. When I watched Kaval Thurai Ungal Nanban, I felt that the drama had every essential elements that today’s audience are expecting in a flick. I am confident that the audience will like the entertainer.”
The casting department of the project also has actor Mime Gopi, RJ Munna, and Sharath Ravi portraying various other supporting role. The motion picture has been bankrolled by BR Talkies Corporation partnering with White Moon Talkies. The music for the flick is composed by the music duo Adithya and Soorya. While cinematographer K. S. Vishnu Shri has been behind the camera, editors Vadivel and Vimalraj has been in charge of the editing department of the movie. Art director Rajesh has dealt with the art department of the project. We will have to wait to see whether the thriller drama puts actor Suresh Ravi in the limelight as he has pinned a lot of hopes on the project.
