Tamil cinema has begun to suck in talents from small screens. One of the beneficiaries of the trend is actor Kavin Raj who opened his account in Kollywood in the year 2017 with his supporting role in the Vikram Prabhu starrer Sathriyan. Two years later he made his debut as a lead hero in Shiva Aravind’s directorial Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma. The actor had his last outing earlier this year in Star directed by Elan with actress Aaditi Pohankar as female lead. The entertainer garnered mixed reviews from critics. The Dada actor will soon have yet another release in the upcoming drama christened Bloody Beggar. Debutant story teller Sivabalan Muthukumar, former associate of Nelson Dilipkumar has written and directed the flick. Director Nelson Dilipkumar is set to turn producer with this film. He has bankrolled the project under his newly launched production company Filament Pictures.
The makers have now officially announced the release date of the movie on social media. Bloody Beggar is poised to hit the screens this year on the occasion of Diwali, October 31st. Taking to his official X account, storyteller Nelson Dilipkumar unveiled a poster from the drama and wrote, “Excited to announce my debut production Bloody Beggar releasing this Diwali. Let us light up the festival with a dose of fun and entertainment.” Here is the post made by the film maker.

The intriguing new poster shared by the director has Kavin’s head displayed as a wall décor amidst other wall décors of animal heads subjected to taxidermy. Bloody Beggar is touted to be a dark comedy drama. A genre director Nelson Dilipkumar himself is trying to make his strong suit. Already multiple big budget movies have booked the Diwali release slot, and more entertainers are expected to join the race as the date close in. Bloody Beggar is set to clash with Ajith Kumar’s Vidaa Muyarchi crafted by Magizh Thirumeni, Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, and Jayam Ravi’s Brother helmed by M Rajesh.
Apart from actor Kavin, the casting of Bloody Beggar has actors Redin Kingsley and Vishav Raaj essaying key supporting roles. Music director Jen Martin has composed music for the drama. The cinematography department has been handed over to cinematographer Sujith Sarang. Editor Nirmal has been brought on board to bring coherence to the flick. Art director Manimozhian Ramadurai has engineered sets for the project. Stunt masters Action Sandhosh and Metro Mahesh have choreographed action moves.
On the work front, currently actor Kavin Raj is simultaneously shooting for three of his projects titled Mask crafted by Vikarnan Ashok in which he will be seen alongside actress Andrea Jeremiah, Kiss filmed by Sathish in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Preethi Asrani, and an untitled flick helmed by Vishnu Edavan in which he will be romancing actress Nayanthara.
