Kingston Trailer: G V Prakash Kumar Embarks On A Treacherous Sea Expedition To Save His Village!

Actor G V Prakash Kumar was last seen on screens in a special appearance in Dhanush’s directorial Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. The Vanakkam Da Mappilei actor is now gearing up for the release of the fantasy horror movie Kingston. The flick will mark the 25th film milestone of his career. Debutant story teller Kamal Prakash has written and crafted the film. Writer Dhivek S Sekar has offered his assistance in writing the dialogues for the project. Actress Divyabharathi, who has previously worked with actor G V Prakash Kumar in Bachelor, has once again been paired against the star in the venture. The production unit has already publicized that the drama will be releasing in theaters worldwide on 7th of March. 

The audio launch function of the drama was recently held in Chennai. Directors Vetrimaaran and Pa Ranjith graced the event and released the trailer of the film. The makers have now unveiled the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor G V Prakash Kumar himself dropped the trailer of Kingston, and captioned it, “Our dream and vision is here!! Witness this cinematic experience on the big screen this March 7! Here is the Kingston trailer.” Here is the post made by the actor. 

Two minute trailer of Kingston opens to a voiceover, “The sea holds an ocean of secrets. A few secrets are mixed in the air and a few mysterious secrets at the depths of the ocean will be waiting for the one!” Following it we have actor Elango Kumaravel saying, “The village has only experienced loss and hardship. The greed for money has blinded you. One person’s greed destroyed the entire village. Please do not repeat the mistake.” We witness the village facing a lot of hardship with suicides, and wild fire consuming their homes. Then we have a character’s voiceover, “Why is the god testing us, unlike other villages?” A soothsayer tells the villagers, “Until his body is buried in this land its rage will not tame down.” In a shot we see actor G V Prakash Kumar uttering, “I am not ready to believe your ghost stories. I have decided. I am venturing into the sea and putting an end to everything!” 

The cast of Kingston also features actors Elango Kumaravel, Azhagam Perumaal, Antony, Chetan, Sabumon Abdusamad, Arunachaleswaran, and Rajesh Balachandiran. G V Prakash Kumar has also scored music for the entertainer. Cinematographer Gokul Benoy has been behind the lens for the flick. Editor San Lokesh has been tasked with editing the movie. Art director S S Moorthy has fashioned sets for the venture. Action director Dhilip Subbarayan has designed action moves for the project. The movie is bankrolled by G V Prakash Kumar himself along with Umesh K R Bansal for the production label Parallel Universe Pictures associating with Zee Studios. 

On the work front, actor G V Prakash Kumar is currently working on his upcoming projects 13 directed by Vivek K Kannan in which he will be seen alongside actors Aadya Prasad, Bhavya Trikha, & Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Idi Muzhakkam helmed by director Seenu Ramasamy in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Gayathrie. On the other hand, actress Divyabharathi is presently engaged in her next entertainer Madhil Mel Kaadhal crafted by Anjana Ali Khan in which she will be performing alongside actor Mugen Rao, a Telugu drama G.O.A.T scripted by Naresh Kuppili in which she will be romancing actor Sudigali Sudheer, and a Tamil web series christened Lingam filmed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj in which she will be co starring with actor Kathir.
