Lal Salaam, the movie directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter and director “Aishwarya Rajinikanth,” is all set to hit the screens on February 9th. The film, which has a promising star cast including Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth for a sports political drama alongside the powerful guest appearance of superstar Rajinikanth, released a new single called “Anbalane” yesterday.
Yugabharathi wrote the lyrics of “Anbalane,” sung by Thenisai Thendral Deva. The production team “Lyca Production” also released an interview where the singer Deva explains his experience about singing this song; he starts with, “This song can be considered as a turning point in my career.” He further added that he felt so divine once he completed the song.
A.R. Rahman lends a transforming touch to the seven-minute song in the last three minutes after the music opens with a simple melancholy in the first four minutes. The spiritual dialogue between a man and God is subtly described in the song. In “Lal Salaam,” a Lyca Productions production, superstar Rajinikanth plays Moideen Bhai. Vishnu Rangasamy managed the cinematography, and Pravin Bhaskar handled the editing. Even though the film does not have the hype as “Jailer’, this movie is expected to have a decent theatrical run.
The song is now being celebrated by Rahman fans and music lovers. A fan of Rahman tweeted, “1992 witnessed the beginning of Deva and ARR’s careers. Now, both of them work together on a song in Lal Salaam.
When people argue over ARR’s use of Artificial intelligence in music, most don’t think his vocalist selection is all that great. How clever he was to select MSV for Mazhai Thuli and Deva for Anbalane.”
