Superstar Rajinikanth had his last outing in the likes of the mass action film Annaatthe which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Siruthai Siva with actress Nayanthara as the female lead. The entertainer which hit the screens amid high expectations did not live up to it. However, the star power of the actor was sufficient to ensure a decent collection in the box office. The Kabali actor has now put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie christened Jailer. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has portrayed the female lead role. Director Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila fame has written and crafted the flick. The project which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a while ago is now wrapped, and is in the post production phase shaping up for release.
The production house has now released a lyric video of a song named ‘Kaavaalaa’ from the movie on social media. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia herself has shared the lyrical video. Taking to her official twitter page, the actress dropped a link to the lyrical video of Kaavaalaa and wrote, “It’s time to vibe for Kaavaalaa. Singers Anirudh Ravichander and Shilpa Rao have crooned the number. Lyricist Arunraja Kamaraj has penned the lyrics of the track. The shoot of the venture was recently wrapped. The production team shared a few pictures of cake cutting celebrations from the final day of shoot. Jailer is poised to release on 10th of August this year. It will have a pan India release in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Actor Rajinikanth appeared young and energetic in an announcement video unveiled by the production unit last month. All credit to the fabulous work of stylist Aalim Hakim. The young getup of the actor has skyrocketed anticipation among the fans of the actor. The production house is eyeing to unveil the teaser of Jailer in a week. Followed by the trailer towards the end of the month.
Apart from actors Rajinikanth and Tamannaah Bhatia, Mollywood and Sandalwood superstars Mohan Lal, and Shiva Rajkumar have played vital roles in the drama. The casting division of the flick has actors Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Vasanth Ravi, Kishore, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Mirnaa Menon, Naga Babu, Dancer Ramesh, Jaffer Sadiq, Billy Muralee, Sugunthan, Karate Karthi, Mithun, Arshad, G Marimuthu, Namo Narayana, Rithvik, Ananth, Saravanan, Aranthaangi Nisha, Mahanadi Shankar, Kalai Arasan, Sadhu Kokila, and Ravi Venkatraman depicting various other supporting roles. Music director Anirudh Ravichander has scored music for the drama. Cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan has shouldered camera for the entertainer. Editor R Nirmal has been roped in to edit the project. Art director Drk Kiran has erected sets for the flick. Stunt master Stunt Siva has choreographed action moves for the drama. The venture is funded by Kalanithi Maran under his banner house Sun Pictures. Chimbu Cine Arts has purchased the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the movie.
On the work front, actor Rajinikanth who was last seen in Annaatthe is currently busy shooting for a cameo part in Lal Salaam scripted by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth in which he will be collaborating with actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. He will soon join the sets of film maker T G Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame for their upcoming film tentatively christened Thalaivar 170. On the other hand, actress Tamannaah Bhatia who was last seen in Tamil in Action is currently busy with her next Tamil movie Aranmanai 4 crafted by Sundar C in which she will be romancing actor Vijay Sethupathi, and a Malayalam venture Bandra crafted by storyteller Arun Gopy in which she will be seen alongside actor Arjun Ashokan. Apart from these projects, the actress has a couple of Telugu dramas Bhola Shankar directed by Meher Ramesh in which she has shared screen space with actors Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh, That Is Mahalakshmi directed by Prasanth Varma in which she has co starred with actress Shibani Dandekar, and a Hindi venture Bole Chudiyan helmed by film maker Shamas Nawab Siddiqui in which she has associated with actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in various stages of post production getting refined for release.
