Actor Sundar C previously headlined Aranmanai 4 which hit the screens under his own direction with actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna as female leads. The movie had a tepid response from the audience. The Murattu Kaalai star will soon have his next outing in the likes of the thriller drama titled Vallan. Storyteller V R Mani Seiyon has written and directed the project. Actresses Tanya Hope and Hebah Patel have essayed the female lead roles in the flick. The teaser of the film which was released a year ago had actor Sundar C as a police officer trying to crack an intricate case. The entertainer has been under production from more than two years. Finally, the production house has publicized that the drama will be releasing this month. They are yet to announce the release date.
Meanwhile, they have now launched a lyrical video of a track christened ‘Kanjaadai Poova’ from the drama on social media. Taking to his official X handle, actor Kayal Devaraj dropped a poster along with a link to the lyrical video of ‘Kanjaadai Poova’ from Vallan and worded, “Kanjadai Poova – A soul-stirring melody from Vallan is out now.” Here is the post made by the actor.
Singers Karthik and Rakshitha Suresh have sung the song. Lyricist Umadevi has written lyrics for the track. Dance master Kalyan has choreographed dance moves for the number. Apart from Sundar C, Tanya Hope, and Hebah Patel, the star cast of Vallan has actors Kamal Kamaraj, Abirami Venkatachalam, Chandhini Tamilarasan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Jayakumar, TSK, and Kayal Devaraj essaying various other supporting roles.
The technical side of the movie has music director Santhosh Dhayanidhi taking care of the musical division of the drama. Mani Perumal has been trusted with the cinematography department of the flick. Editor Dinesh Ponraj has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the project. Art director M Sakthee Venkatraj has designed the background for the venture. Action director Vicky has fashioned action moves. The movie is produced by Dr. V R Manikandaraman and V Gayathri under their home banner VR Della Film Factory Pvt Ltd.
On the professional front, actor Sundar C is gearing up for the release of his long delayed directorial project Madha Gaja Raja which is slated to hit theaters on 12th of January with actors Vishal, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Anjali in lead roles, and One 2 One helmed by director K Thirugnanam in which he has costarred with actors Anurag Kashyap and Nitu Chandra. The Coffee With Kadhal director will soon be directing Kalakalappu 3 with actors Shiva and Vemal as leads, Mookuthi Amman 2 with actress Nayanthara in lead, and the ambitious historical period drama Sangamithra with actor Jayam Ravi in the lead role. Besides these projects, he will soon be directing and headlining a project titled Gangers in which he will be reuniting with actor Vadivelu after a long time. Actress Catherine Tresa has been signed in to play the female lead in the entertainer.
