Actor Sivakarthikeyan is on a roll in the industry both as an artist and producer. The Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam actor had his last outing in the likes of the romedy drama Prince which hit the screens under the direction of K V Anudeep with Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka as the female lead. The entertainer hit the theaters amid high expectations. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations. Despite that, the actor’s star power was adequate to propel the movie to commercial success. The Namma Veettu Pillai actor has now moved on, and is getting ready for the release of his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual entertainer christened Maaveeran. The Telugu version of the venture is christened Mahaveerudu. Storyteller Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame has penned, and directed the drama. The entertainer which went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony is now done and dusted ready to hit the screens on 14th of July this year.
The production team has now released a lyrical video of a song titled ‘Vannarapettayila’ on social media. Actor Sivakarthikeyan himself has shared the video. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor dropped a link to the lyrical video song ‘Vannarapettayila’ and wrote, “Here is the second single Vannarapettayila from Maaveeran. A Bharath Sankar musical! Lyrics by Yugabharathi sir. Sung by Aditi Shankar & Sivakarthikeyan.” Here is the post made by the actor.

Nearly four minutes long video gives us the coverage of actors Sivakarthikeyan & Aditi Shankar crooning the song. Lyricist Yugabharathi has penned lyrics for the track. Choreographer Shobi Paulraj has choreographed dance moves of the song. The anticipation around Maaveeran has been brewing strongly ever since the production house unveiled the first look poster of the film which had the actor in long hair. His look in the poster got tongues raving, as it bore a resemblance to superstar Rajinikanth’s popular character Suriya from Thalapathy. This augmented expectations on the movie not only amidst fans of the star but even among the general audience.
Besides actors Sivakarthikeyan, and Aditi Shankar, the casting division of the flick has veteran actress Saritha, Mysskin, Goundamani, Yogi babu, Monisha Blessy, Sunil Reddy, and Koushik Mahata depicting various other supporting parts. Music director Bharath Sankar has composed music for the venture. Cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna has been behind the lens for the project. Editor Philomin Raj has been brought on board to edit the drama. Art directors Kumar Gangappan and Arun Venjaramoodu have erected sets for the entertainer. Stunt master Yannick Ben has choreographed action blocks for the entertainer. The film is produced by Arun Viswa under the production label Shanthi Talkies.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who had his last outing in the romantic comedy drama Prince is currently busy with his upcoming drama tentatively titled as SK 21 crafted by storyteller Rajkumar Periyasamy in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Sai Pallavi. Apart from this movie, the actor has the science fiction project Ayalaan directed by film maker R. Ravikumar in which he will be seen alongside actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production stage getting fine tuned for release. He is also producing an entertainer titled Kottukkaali which is crafted by director P. S. Vinoth Raj with actors Soori and Anna Ben in the lead roles. On the other hand, actress Aditi Shankar who was last seen on screens in Viruman is currently busy shooting for a couple of her untitled projects.
