Actor Master Mahendran who ventured into Kollywood as a child artist in Nattamai went on to become a lead hero in the 2010 movie Mudhal Kadhal Mazhai. The Master actor is still fighting to find his space in the industry. The Namma Oorukku Ennadhan Achu actor had his last outing in the action thriller flick Maaran which hit the theaters under the direction of Karthick Naren with actors Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles. The actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming entertainer titled Ripupbury in which he has depicted the lead role. Actors Maari and Nobel K James have essayed pivotal roles in the project. Story teller Na Arun Karthik has penned and directed the entertainer. The movie which went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony is now done and dusted. The entertainer is slated to hit the screens on 14th of April.
Now, the production team has unveiled the trailer of the drama on social media. Actor Nobel K James himself has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared a poster from the film along with the link to the trailer of Ripupbury, and wrote, “Happy to launch our trailer.” Here is the post made by the actor.

Over two minute trailer cut opens to an eerie shot of a doll playing a drum with the voiceover, “On the outlook, it might appear to be a mere doll. But inside of it is a ghost of a police dog. When it detects a spirit, it will start to play the drum.” The scene cuts to a police station where we see three friends being spoken to by a cop, “So far three people have died. Nobody’s body has been recovered. We are looking for a caste chauvinistic ghost which identifies boys who do inter caste marriage and kill them. You are the first people to have witnessed the spirit.” Then we are presented with a short stretch of romance. The trailer ends with a conversation between the friends and a person saying, “In this village there are too many ghosts. Particularly in the house behind the banyan tree, over 75 kilo . . .” One of the friends interrupts, “We are searching for a male ghost.” To which he says, “Even I am talking about male spirit.” The trailer has enjoyed a great reception among the audience, and has set high expectations on the project. The production house had recently released the teaser of the venture. The team had rephrased popular rhyme ‘Akku pakku’ in a funny manner, to ‘Akku pakku vaethala pakku, dhaam dhoom daiyaa, aaskalakkadi booskalakkadi, saava pora bhaiya’ in the teaser which became a talking point among the audience.
Apart from actors Master Mahendran, Maari and Nobel K James, the casting department of the movie has actors Srrini, Kaavya Arivumani, Arati Podi, Dhanam, and Chella portraying various other supporting parts. Music director Diwacara Thiyagarajan has composed music for the venture. Cinematographer Thalapathy Ratinam has cranked the camera for the movie. Editor Muganvel has been roped in to edit the flick. Art director Singam has designed the background for the film. Action director Stunner Sam has choreographed action blocks for the drama. The entertainer is produced by filmmaker Na Arun Karthik himself along with Na Narendhiran under the banner house The Talesman Productions.
On the work front, actor Master Mahendran who had his last outing in Maaran is currently busy shooting for Karaa directed by story teller Avatar, and for Amigo Garage under the direction of debutant director Prasanth Nagarajan. Apart from these ventures, the actor has Kather Basha Endra Muthuramalingam helmed by storyteller M Muthaiah of Kutty Puli fame in which he will be seen alongside actor Arya, and Musasi scripted by filmmaker Sam Rodrigues in which he has shared screen space with actor Prabhu Deva in various stages of post-production getting shaped for release.
