Actor Mirchi Shiva began his career as radio jockey and ventured into Kollywood with a slew of uncredited roles. He shot to fame overnight by playing one of the leads in Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai 600028. The Tamizh Padam star is yet to have a release this year. He was last seen on screens in the heist comedy film Kasethan Kadavulada directed by R Kannan with actress Priya Anand in the female lead part. The Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum actor will soon open his account this year via the sequel of the blockbuster drama Soodhu Kavvum. The film has an interesting tagline ‘Naatum Naatu Makkalum’ (Country & its citizens). Film maker S J Arjun has penciled and directed the movie. Actress Harisha Jestin will be making her debut in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the flick.
The makers have now shared the trailer of the entertainer on social media. Taking to his official X profile, actor Mirchi Shiva dropped the trailer of Soodhu Kavvum 2 and wrote, “Time to hit the peak of Laughter-Riot! Here is the much awaited Soodhu Kavvum 2 trailer. Soodhu Kavvum 2: நாடும் நாட்டு மக்களும். Soodhu Kavvum 2 from Dec 13.” Here is the post made by the actor.
Two minute trailer of Soodhu Kavvum 2 starts with actor Karunakaran taking oath as the finance minister of the state. Subsequently we witness him promise his electorates to deposit 7 lakh rupees if they elect his party to power. We are then presented with an interrelating factor between the two parts in the franchise. Towards the end of the trailer, looking at Mirchi Shiva gazing at a woman his friend suggests, “How long will you keep living in your imagination? Better let us abduct her. You get married and live peacefully.” To which he jokes, “We can live peacefully with women only in imagination. If we get married, we can never live peacefully.” The first installment of the flick was released in 2013 under the direction of Nalan Kumarasamy with actors Vijay Sethupathi, Ashok Selvan, Bobby Simha, Ramesh Thilak, and Sanchita Shetty in lead roles.
Apart from Mirchi Shiva, and Harisha Jestin, the star Cast of Soodhu Kavvum 2 has actors Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M S Bhaskar, Kalki, Yog Japee, Kavi, Arul Doss, Karate Karthi, and Raghu depicting various other supporting roles. The technical side of the movie has music director S R Hari composing the background score for the drama. While musician Edwin Louis Viswanath has scored music for songs. Karthik K Thillai has been trusted with the cinematography department of the flick. Editor Ignatious Aswin has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the project. Art director R Saravana Abiraman has designed the background for the venture. Action director Stunner Shyam has fashioned action moves. The flick is produced by C V Kumar under his home banner Thirukumaran Entertainment along with S Thangaraj of Thangam Cinemas. K Suresh will be presenting the project under his production company Shanmuga Cinemas.
On the work front, actor Mirchi Shiva will soon begin to shoot for Kalakalappu 3 under the direction of Sundar C in which he will once again be teaming up with actor Vemal. Beside this project, he has his long-delayed venture christened Party crafted by Venkat Prabhu in which he has co starred with actors Jai, Jayaram, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Sanchita Shetty, and Nivetha Pethuraj, in the box waiting to see the light of day.
