Actor Yogi Babu seems omnipresent of sorts at present in Tamil cinema finding his name in almost every casting name card of films that hit the screens week in and week out. The Boomer Uncle actor had his last outing earlier this month in Kozhipannai Chelladurai helmed by Seenu Ramasamy. He is now gearing up for yet another release in the upcoming venture titled Miss Maggie. Actor Madhampatty T P Rangaraj who made his debut in Mehandi Circus has played the lead role. Actress Aathmika of Meesaya Murukku fame has played the female lead role. Storyteller Latha R Maniyarasu has written and directed the drama. The entertainer is in the post production stage for nearly a year.
The production house has finally released the teaser of the drama on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Yogi Babu himself shared a poster from the film along with a link to the teaser of Miss Maggie and captioned it, “It is here! The official teaser for Miss Maggie is live! A rom-com filled with love and laughs!” Here is the post made by the actor.
One-minute teaser of Miss Maggie opens to a voiceover introducing Yogi Babu’s character, “There was a lawyer in a village. His tongue is his weakness. He is a wastrel in court. Loan sharks around town are his acquaintances.” Yogi Babu’s character has a condition which induces hiccups whenever he tells a lie making his lawyer’s job a hell. We then have a few shots of romance and action blocks. In a scene we witness actress Aathmika talking on the phone, “If my father does not agree, we must elope. Anyway, be ready for it.” The teaser ends with actor Yogi Babu pulling off a gravity defying stunt in a woman’s getup.
The technical side of Miss Maggie has music director Karthik composing music for songs. While musician Karthik Raja has scored background music. Cinematographer Gowtham Rajendran has been behind the lens. Editor Sathish Surya has been engaged to trim the flick. Art Director Ravi Pandian has erected sets for the entertainer. Stunt master Sudesh Kumar has choreographed action moves. Miss Maggie is produced by Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel under his production label Drumsticks Productions in association with Madhampatty T P Rangaraj for his banner house Maadhampatty Cinemas.
On the work front, actor Yogi Babu is staring at a consecutive release in Kanguva filmed by director Siruthai Siva in which he has collaborated with actor Suriya, and Malai crafted by IP Murugesh in which actress Lakshmi Menon has played the lead role. The Ghost star is currently occupied in his future ventures christened Medical Miracle directed by storyteller K Johnson in which he will be seen alongside actress Dharsha Gupta of Cook with Comali fame, Evidence scripted by director Ranjith Manikandan in which he will be associating with actor Sasikumar, Poochandi helmed by Krishnan Jayaraj in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Anjali, and a Telugu project The Raja Saab directed by Maruthi in which he will be co starring with actor Prabhas.
