Versatile actor Arun Vijay is putting in a lot of work to deliver a solid hit to bolster his career in Kollywood. The Oh My Dog star had his last outing earlier this year in Mission: Chapter 1 helmed by director A L Vijay. The drama had a bad run in the box office. The Yaanai actor is banking a lot on his next project Vanangaan to get back to winning ways. Storyteller Bala has penciled and directed the movie. Actress Roshni Prakash of Jada fame has depicted the female lead role in the flick. The entertainer is currently in the post production. An official release date for the project is expected to be announced soon.
The production house had signed in music director G V Prakash Kumar to handle musical gears for the flick. Now we have news that music director Sam C S has been brought on board to do background music for the entertainer. He himself has shared the news on social media. Taking to his official X profile, musician Sam C S shared a poster of himself with director Bala and wrote, “Happy to score the BGM for Vanangaan. First time with my favorite director Bala sir. Songs by nanban G V Prakash Kumar. Thank you, Bala sir and Suresh Kamatchi sir, for the opportunity. Looking forward to it.” Here is the post made by the musician.
The trailer of Vanangaan which was released last month had actor Arun Vijay without any dialogues just going on a rampage after coming out of prison. The entertainer was originally planned with actor Suriya and Krithi Shetty as the lead pair. The venture was supposed to be produced by Suriya under his home banner 2D Entertainment. The production unit began the shoot for their first schedule. Unfortunately, a difference of opinion arose between Suriya and Bala during the shoot, which lead to the actor opting out of the movie.
Apart from actors Arun Vijay and Roshni Prakash, the film has actors Samuthirakani, Kavitha Gopi, Ridha, Bala Sivaji, Chhaya Devi, Shanmugarajan, Mysskin, Mai Pa Narayanan, Yohan Chacko, Brinda Sarathy, Aruldoss, and Munish Sivagurunath portraying various supporting characters. The cinematography department of the movie has been handed over to R B Gurudev. Editor Sathish Suriya has been trusted with the editing division. Stunt master Stunt Silva has fashioned action moves for the flick. The entertainer is produced by Suresh Kamatchi for his home label V House Productions in association with Bala for his production company B Studios.
On the work front, currently musician Sam C S is busy composing music for Arun Vijay’s Retta Thala directed by Thiru Kumaran, Shiva’s Saloon helmed by S Muthukumaran, Prabhu Deva’s Flash Back crafted by Don Sandy, and Vishnu Vishal’s Aaryan filmed by K Praveen. Beside these ventures he has a bunch of Telugu films in his pipeline
