It is the talk of the town at the moment. Actress Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan after years of dating and headlining numerous cinema columns has finally broken silence on their marriage. It is all official now. The couple is all set to get married on 9th of June this month in Mahabalipuram. Ahead of their wedding director Vignesh Shivan met with the press to make a formal announcement of the event. Talking to the media earlier today, the director expressed his gratitude for the media for supporting him throughout his journey in the industry, and that he is about to take the next big step in his life. Amid massive cheer from people around he officially announced that he will be marrying lady superstar Nayanthara on 9th of June.

The director started his speech by saying, “In my career due to my anxiousness I have avoided attending many press meets and social events. But ever since I began my career in Tamil cinema as a writer and filmmaker through Poda Podi to my recent drama Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal the support from the media has been massive. I have received a lot of optimism and goodwill from you. Even when I turned a producer and launched my own production house Rowdy Pictures, and aimed to place my first production venture Pebbles in the Indian nominees for Oscar to the film bagging multiple international honors. The support of the media was impressive. Not to forget, my part as a lyricist, it is the positive commentary from the media that made me confident and to continue writing lyrics for a number of projects. I am grateful for your support. It is what has brought me where I am now, and I hope you will continue to support me.”
Talking further, the storyteller made his wedding announcement, “Now, I am about to take a very significant next step in my life. I am marrying the love of my life Nayanthara on June 9th.” Speaking about the wedding arrangements, Vignesh Shivan said, “Initially we were in a plan to tie the knot in Tirupati. But as we have invited a bunch of our close friends and family members, we have to take them there and the logistics involved seemed too much to handle in a short span. So, considering the accessibility we decided to shift the wedding to Mahabalipuram. We will go under the wedlock in the morning. The photos and videos of the wedding will be handed to the press by afternoon.”
The preparations for the wedding are happening in full swing. There is news that a grand glasshouse setup has been erupted for the wedding inside which the duo will exchange their rings. The wedding is said to go on for two days with the Mehendi and Sangeet events planned to entertain the guests. It is said that the wedding organizers who managed the wedding of Virat Kohli – Anushka Sharma, and Vicky Kaushal – Katrina Kaif have been put to work to plan the wedding. The couple has already sent invites to all their friends and family relations. They recently met with the chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. K. Stalin invited him to the wedding.
