Actress Nayanthara popularly addressed with love as ‘The Lady Superstar’ of Kollywood has got a lot of tongues wagging in the industry by gracing her presence in a film event. Yes, you read it right. It was the launch ceremony of director Vishnuvardhan upcoming movie Nesippaya. In the past some producers and directors have openly expressed their grievance that certain stars do not take part in promotional activities of their own film. Actress Nayanthara was one of the actors to have faced such accusations. The Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal actress has now left many stunned by attending a function of a movie in which she does not play a part. The actress herself has clarified why she attended the event and explained why it is so close to her heart.

Speaking at the event, the actress said, “I usually skip public events. But I cannot skip this one as it is very special and dear to me. Nesippaya is very special to me as it is made by my director Vishnu Varadhan and dear friend Anu Varadhan. It is more like a family event to me. I just could not say no to my family.” Adding further she said, “I have known Vishnu Varadhan for 14 years or so. He is an exceptional director. But more importantly a fantastic human being. I am very happy for him and eagerly waiting for the release of the film.”
Nesippaya will mark the debut of Akash Murali, brother of actor Atharvaa Murali. Actress Aditi Shankar will be playing the female lead part. Actors Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Khushbu, Kalki, and George Kora will be seen in various supporting roles. The technical side of the movie has Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music, Cameron Eric Bryson behind camera, and A Sreekar Prasad on the editing board. The entertainer is bankrolled by Xavier Britto and Sneha Britto under their home banner XBF Film Creators.
Director Vishnu Varadhan had recently unveiled the first look poster of the flick. Taking to his official X account, the director shared the first look poster and wrote, “A tale of love beyond measures and morals. Arjun Diya will sweep you off your feet. Presenting Nesippaya first look. A Vishnu Varadhan film.” Here is the update made by the film maker.

Speaking about the film, director Vishnu Varadhan said, “Nesippaya will be a superb adventurous love tale with splendid moments that will resonate and connect with people who are in love, who have experienced love, and are about to fall in love. I am quite confident that the audience will love it.” Talking about actor Akash Murali, he said, “He has great potential. He is natural and spontaneous. He is a dedicated artist too. He has a bright future. I am sure once you witness his performance in the drama, you will agree with me.”
On the work front, actress Nayanthara is awaiting the release of her next project Test crafted by director Sashikanth with actors Siddharth and Madhavan in lead roles.
