Actor Vetri Sudley is well known for his choice of films in K-town. The actor ventured into Tamil cinema with his impressive performance on his critically acclaimed debut drama 8 Thottakkal which hit the screens back in the year 2017 under the direction of story teller Sri Ganesh. The entertainer went on to register a fair commercial success. The actor followed it with the thriller flick Jiivi directed by V. J. Gopinath had an interesting concept called ‘Thodarbiyal’ (synchronicity). The movie enjoyed a great reception among the audience which prompted the director to make a sequel for it. The project which went on floors in the month of march this year was shot in a matter of 27 days, and was sent to the post production works. Now, we have an update on the project.
We have news that the whole dubbing work for the film has been completed. The director himself has shared the news on social media. Taking to his official twitter account, the film maker shared a couple of pics with the team, and wrote, “The entire dubbing of Jiivi 2 wraps up with actor Vetri completing his portions.” Here is the post made by the director.
Speaking about the project to a leading daily, the filmmaker said, “Jiivi ends with the lead character’s sidekick asking him whether the theory has come to an end, or will it continue to exist. That is where the second installment of Jiivi will begin. It is sort of an answer to that question.” Talking about how the idea of a sequel happened, he stated, “When we first made the first installment, we did not plan on a sequel. But since my project with actor Vishnu Vishal got pushed, the producer of the flick asked me to do a quick project in the gap. That is how Jiivi 2 happened. I sat down to shape the outline of the script for 15 days, and penned it in just two days.”
Apart from actor Vetri, the actors who were part of the first installment Karunakaran, Ashwini Chandrashekar, Rama, Rohini, Mime Gopi, and Thirunavukarasu will all once again return to the sequel. The music for the venture has been composed by K. S. Sundaramoorthy. Cinematographer Praveen Kumar has cranked the camera for the flick. Editor Praveen K. L will be taking care of the editing department. The entertainer is bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner house V House Productions.
On the work front, actor Vetri who was last seen on screens in Vanam is currently busy shooting for multiple flicks simultaneously. He is shooting for Jothi under the direction of debutant film maker A. V. Krishna in which he has shared the screen space with actress Sheela Rajkumar, for Theenkirai directed by Prakash Raghavadass in which he will be seen alongside actress Aadhira Panilakshmi, for Kannagi helmed by storyteller C Sivam in which he will be co starring with actresses Keerthi Pandian, and Vidya Pradeep, for Bumper which in filmed by director M. Selvakumar in which he will be romancing actress Shivani Narayanan, and for an untitled film directed by Shaams. Apart from these ventures, the actor has Memories directed by Syam Praveen with actress Parvathy Arun, and Red Sandal helmed by newbie filmmaker Guru Ramaanujam getting shaped in the post production for release.
