Actor Prabhudeva had his last outing in Tamil in the black comedy film Jolly O Gymkhana crafted by Sakthi Chidambaram with actress Madonna Sebastian in the female lead role. The venture opened to negative reviews from critics and fell flat in the box office. The Petta Rap actor is now getting ready for the release of his action thriller movie Michael Musasi. Malayalam actress Leona Leeshoy will be making her debut in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the entertainer. Newbie story teller Sam Rodrigues has penciled and helmed the project. He has co written the dialogues of the flick with writer Vignesh Jeyapal. The project has been under production for a long time. But it looks like it has neared its release line. The drama will be releasing in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The production house has now notified audiences about the release window of the entertainer. Michael Musasi is all set to hit theaters worldwide in the month of March. An official release date is expected to be announced soon. Taking to his official X account, actor Kayal Devaraj shared a special poster from Michael Musasi and wrote, “Michael Musasi is releasing this March, Tamil Nadu theatrical release by GRR Movies, GRR Ragu. Michael Musasi is touted to be an action-packed thriller movie with actor Prabhudeva portraying a cop for the umpteenth time in his career. Apart from Prabhudeva, and Leona Leeshoy, the casting unit of Michael Musasi has actors VTV Ganesh, John Vijay, Master Mahendran, and Binu Papu essaying various supporting roles. Music director Leander Lee Marty has taken care of the musical division of the film. Already a peppy number titled ‘Starlight’ and ‘I Believe’ are out from the album, and have found their way into the playlist of youngsters.
Cinematographer Vignesh Vasu has shouldered camera for the flick. Editor Anthony has worked in the editing department of the project. Art director Maayapandi has designed the background for the venture. Stunt master Suresh has choreographed action blocks. Michael Musasi is funded by John Britto partnering with Anand Muruga Utharkar under the banner label Joy Film Box Entertainment. GRR Raghu has bought the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the venture, and will be releasing the drama under the label GRR Movies.
On the work front, actor Prabhudeva is presently shooting for his future Tamil projects Flashback helmed by Don Sandy in which he will be collaborating with actress Regina Cassandra, Singanallur Signal crafted by J M Raja in which he will be seen alongside actors Bhavya Trikha & Shine Tom Chacko, Wolf scripted by Vinu Venkatesh in which he will be co starring with actresses Raai Laxmi & Anasuya Bharadwaj, a Malayalam drama Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer directed by Rojin Thomas in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Jayasurya, Anushka Shetty, & Vineeth, and a Hindi flick Maharagni: Queen Of Queens helmed by Charan Tej Uppalapati in which he will be associating with actors Kajol, Samyuktha, & Naseeruddin Shah.
