Actor Pradeep Ranganathan had a dream debut in Tamil cinema with the Jayam Ravi starrer Comali. The blockbuster success of the film presented him with an opportunity to headline a romantic comedy in Love Today. Even his debut as a lead hero turned out to be a super success which propelled him to stardom overnight. He is now getting ready for the release of his next film titled Dragon. Director Ashwath Marimuthu, who announced his arrival in Kollywood with Ashok Selvan’s Oh My Kadavule, has penned and directed the drama. He has shaped the story of the film along with actor Pradeep Ranganathan. Actress Anupama Parameswaran of Thalli Pogathey fame has played the love interest of the star in the flick. Storyteller and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen in a pivotal role in the movie.
The production house has now officially announced the release date of the flick on social media. Dragon is all set to hit theaters on 14th of February this year. The ensemble cast of Dragon also comprises actors K S Ravi Kumar, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Vj Siddhu, Mariam George, Harshath Khan, Indhumathy Manigandan, and Thenappan. Music director Leon James has teamed up with story teller Ashwath Marimuthu after their successful outing in Oh My Kadavule. Already two numbers titled ‘Rise Of Dragon’ and ‘Vizhithunaiye’ are out from the album. Cinematography Niketh Bommi has cranked cameras for the venture. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the drama. Art director Selva Kumar has designed the background for the drama. Action directors Vicky and Dilip Subbarayan have fashioned action moves for the project. The movie is funded by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh under their home productions AGS Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
On the professional front, actor Pradeep Ranganathan is also gearing up for the release of his science fiction romantic comedy drama Love Insurance Kompany directed by storyteller Vignesh Shivan in which he has collaborated with actresses Krithi Shetty and Gouri G Kishan. On the other hand, actress Anupama Parameswaran will soon be gracing the screens in Tamil in Lockdown helmed by director A R Jeeva. The Siren actress is currently occupied in her upcoming Tamil flick Bison crafted by Mari Selvaraj in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Dhruv Vikram, and three of her Malayalam entertainers JSK scripted by storyteller Pravin Narayanan in which she will be seen alongside actor Suresh Gopi, Paradha helmed by Praveen Kandregula, and Pet Detective filmed by Praneesh Vijayan in which she will be co starring with actor Sharafudheen.
