Actor Premji Amaren was last seen on screens earlier this year in a supporting role in Dinasari helmed by G Sankar with actors Srikanth and Cynthia Lourde in lead roles. The project was pinned with negative reviews by critics and left theaters unnoticed. The Sathiya Sothanai star will soon have yet another release this year in his upcoming film titled Vallamai in which he has essayed the lead role. Storyteller Karuppaiyaa Murugan, who had previously crafted Vidiyatha Iravondru Vendam, has written and directed the movie. Actress Dhivyadarshini has depicted a pivotal character in the project. The makers are currently working to lock a date for release of the entertainer. An official update regarding the same is expected to be made soon.
The production unit has begun to promote the film across multiple forums. As part of it, they have now released the teaser of the movie on social media. Storyteller and brother of Premji Amaren, Venkat Prabhu has shared the teaser. Taking to his official X handle, director Venkat Prabhu dropped a poster from the drama along with a link to the teaser of Vallamai and wrote, “Happy to launch the teaser of VALLAMAI. Directed by Karuppaiyaa Murugan. Congrats to Premgi Amaren and team GKV, Sooraj Nallusami, C R Rajith, Divyadarshini.” Here is the post made by the director.
Nearly one minute teaser of Vallamai begins with a few glimpses of father daughter bonding moments between Premji Amaren and his daughter. We witness Premji Amaren placing wall posters for vintage Sivaji movies. The teaser shifts gears and wades into a tense zone where we see Premji Amaren and his daughter trying to navigate what appears to be an intricate situation with multiple characters keen to save themselves. The teaser ends with actor Premji Amaren saying, “Things will not change on their own. We should endeavor to change them.”
Apart from Premji Amaren and Dhivyadarshini, the cast of the entertainer also has actors Deepa Shankar, Valakku En Muthuraman, C R Rajith, Supergood Subramani, Vidhu, and Subramanian Madhavan playing various supporting parts. The technical side of the venture has music director GKV handling musical gears for the drama. Director Venkat Prabhu has crooned a number in the film. Cinematographer Sooraj Nallusami has taken care of the cinematography division of the venture. Editor C Ganesh Kumar has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the flick. Art director S K Ajay has erected sets for the project. Stunt man S R Hari Murugan has choreographed action moves for the entertainer. The drama is backed by Karuppaiyaa Murugan himself under the production company A Battlers Cinema Production.
On the work front, actor Premji Amaren is awaiting the release of his long-delayed venture christened Party directed by his brother Venkat Prabhu. The ensemble cast of the drama has actors Jai, Shiva, Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Shaam, Ramya Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Sanchita Shetty, Nassar, Chandran, and Nivetha Pethuraj.
