Malayalam superstar Prithviraj had last acted in a movie titled Ranam. Directed by debutant Nirmal Sahadev, the movie was about rival gangsters set in foreign locations, and the movie did not quite make an impact due to the foreign setup and the movie had ended a flop.
After a week of release of Ranam, Prithviraj had said in an interview that he always knew that a film like Koode will do well and become a commercial blockbuster and that an experimental movie like Ranam might not find takers and might end a flop.
He added that number one position was not his target and that one must not worry about success or failure and keep experimenting and that is his aim. However, his speech has hurt the sentiments of one of the producers of Ranam named Biju Thomas.
Biju had said that how can Prithviraj say that a movie running in the theater is a flop, and if he had wanted to experiment, he must have experimented in his own money in own production and not in other company money, and waste it, said an angry Biju.
The actor recently signed a Tamil movie under Supriya productions banner and as the movie never took off, the producer demanded back the advance and once again he got into a tussle with him.
