Every release of actor Rajinikanth is a festivity for millions of followers of his. The Kabali actor was last seen on screens in an extended cameo part in his daughter Aishwarya’s directorial Lal Salaam which featured stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. He is now preparing for his 170th outing of his career in Vettaiyan. Director T J Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame has penned and directed the film. Malayalam actress Manju Warrier will be depicting the role of Thara in the flick. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is set to make his debut in Tamil cinema with his part as Sathyadev in Vettaiyan. The production unit has officially announced that the entertainer will be released worldwide on 10th of October this year in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The production house has now officially announced the release date of Vettaiyan’s trailer on social media. Vettaiyan trailer is all set to be out on 2nd of October. Taking to their official X handle, Lyca Productions dropped a few posters from the drama and worded, “The target is set! The Vettaiyan trailer is dropping on October 2nd. Get ready to catch the prey. Actor Rajinikanth is set to don khaki in Vettaiyan. The entertainer is touted to be an action movie which opens a discourse on extrajudicial killing of criminals by cops. The glimpse video released by the production unit had the actor shooting people like shooting birds in a hunting competition. Superstars Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are teaming up once again nearly three decades after their last collaboration in the Bollywood drama Hum. Not just the aficionados of the stars but the entire Indian cinema industry is waiting to watch them set the screens on fire. Vettaiyan has been shot in and around the neighborhoods of Chennai, Tirunelveli, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
Apart from actors Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Manju Warrier, ensemble casting unit of Vettaiyan has actors Kishore, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ramesh Thilak, Abhirami, Ritika Singh, Rakshan, Rao Ramesh, Rohini, and G M Sundar playing various other supporting characters. Vettaiyan marks the fourth association of music composer Anirudh Ravichander with superstar Rajinikanth after their chartbuster albums in Petta, Darbar, and Jailer. Two numbers titled ‘Manasilaayo’ and ‘Hunter Vantaar’ are already out from the album. They have found their way into the loop list of youngsters. The cinematography department of the flick has been handed over to S R Kathir. Editor Philomin Raj has been signed in to trim the flick. Art director K Kathir has established sets for the movie. Action directors Anbu Arivu duo has designed action blocks. The venture is funded by Subaskaran Allirajah for his home banner Lyca Productions.
On the professional front, currently actor Rajinikanth is occupied in his next drama christened Coolie filmed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Actors Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj have been onboarded to play key roles in the project.
