Radio Jockey turned actor RJ Balaji had his last outing in the likes of Mookuthi Amman which hit the screens under the direction of story teller NJ Saravanan with actress Nayanthara in the female lead role. Despite garnering mixed reviews, the project went on to register a decent commercial success. Now, the LKG actor’s next film titled Veetla Vishesham has hit the screens today. The trailer of the flick which was dropped on social media last month had a great reception among the audience and had spiked the expectations of the entertainer. Actor RJ Balaji while promoting the flick extensively for the past couple of weeks has made a promise to the audience.
Actor RJ Balaji who sat down for promotional interviews had promised the audience that the drama will be a complete wholesome family drama. Even in a press release made by the actor yesterday, he has reassured it. Talking about the flick, he said, “Badhaai Ho is a blockbuster film in Bollywood. The entertainer had a massive positive response from a wide range of audience for its fresh and entertaining content. When we choose to remake the flick, we were careful not to completely stick to the script of the original. So, we made certain changes to the plot to suit the taste of our audience. I am glad that the producer of the drama Boney Kapoor, and Raahul are happy with the changes that are made to the script. The entertainer was recently screened to the Zee Studios team in Mumbai. It was exciting to know that the team enjoyed the film. At this moment I thank everyone who has been a part of the unit. Especially my co-director and co stars. They have been a big support.”
Continuing further, he shared, “Veetla Vishesham is a complete wholesome family drama. We wanted a family audience to enjoy the flick in theaters. That is why we picked the summer holidays to release the movie.” The Hindi version of Veetla Vishesham was helmed by filmmaker Amit Ravindrenath Sharma with actors Ayushmann Khurranna, Neena Gupta, and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles. The film tells the tale of a middle-aged couple that accidentally get pregnant, which puts their son and family members in an uncomfortable spot.
