Actor Sivakarthikeyan who began his career as a tv host and made his debut as a lead hero in Manam Kothi Paravai has evolved into one of the superstars of Tamil cinema. A feat that stands as a ray of hope for many budding artists in K-town. The Mr Local star was last seen on screens in a cameo part in Vijay’s GOAT – The Greatest Of All Time. He is now awaiting the release of his upcoming biographical war film Amaran in which he will be portraying the role of Martyr Major Mukund Varadarajan. Actress Sai Pallavi will be seen as his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese. Story teller Rajkumar Periasamy has crafted the flick. He has borrowed the assistance of writer Stefan Ritcher to fashion the screenplay of the movie. The drama is based on the book India’s Most Fearless: True Stories Of Modern Military penciled by authors Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. It is officially announced that the film will be in theaters this year on Diwali.
The production team has been aggressively promoting the entertainer across platforms and through events overseas. They had dropped the teaser of the flick on social media last month. Now they have shared the character introduction video of actress Sai Pallavi. Taking to their official X handle, the production unit unveiled the character introduction clip and worded it, “Cupid strikes Amaran. Sai Pallavi as Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the heart of Amaran. Amaran is said to be a biographical film based on the life of Martyr Major Mukund Varadarajan who sacrificed his life in the anti-terrorist search operation and was posthumously bestowed with Ashok Chakra. Besides Sivakarthikeyan, and Sai Pallavi, the casting unit of Amaran has actors Bhuvan Arora, Mir Salmaan, Rahul Bose, Ajaey Naga, Shreekumar, Lallu, Shyam Mohan, and Gaurav Venkatesh playing various supporting characters. The technical side of the film has musician G V Prakash Kumar composing music for the drama. Cinematographer C H Sai has been behind the lens for the movie. Editor R Kalaivanan has taken care of the editing division. Action master Stefan Richter has designed action blocks. The project is funded by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran, and Vivek Krishnani for their production label Raaj Kamal Films International in association with Sony Pictures Films India. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies will be distributing the flick in Tamil Nadu.
On the professional front, actor Sivakarthikeyan is currently occupied with his upcoming venture tentatively christened SK 23 directed by A R Murugadoss in which he will be co starring with newbie actress Rukmini Vasanth. On the other hand, actress Sai Pallavi is busy shooting for her debut Bollywood film Ramayana helmed by Nitesh Tiwari in which she will be seen alongside actor Ranbir Kapoor, and a Telugu movie Thandel crafted by Chandoo Mondeti in which she will be collaborating with actor Naga Chaitanya.
