Actor Samuthirakani was last seen on screens in a supporting role in the period drama Vaathi which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Venky Atluri with actor Dhanush in the lead role. The entertainer not only ran into controversy, but was also tagged with negative reviews. Despite that the film managed to have a decent collection. The Subramaniapuram actor has moved on, and is now getting ready for the release of his next drama Rajakili. Actor Thambi Ramaiah will be seen in a pivotal part in the movie. Umapathy Ramaiah, son of actor Thambi Ramaiah will be making his debut as a director with Rajakili. The project which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a couple of months back has now been wrapped, and is in the post production stage.
Now, the production house has released the teaser of the drama. Actor Samuthirakani himself has shared the teaser. Taking to his official twitter page, the actor dropped a poster from the flick along with a link to the teaser, and wrote, “இதோ ராஜாகிளி திரை முன்னோட்டம்.. வெல்வோம்…” Here is the tweet made by the actor.

Over two minutes the teaser opens to a sensational news of a murder case in which a business magnet named Murugappa Chettiar is incarcerated. The trailer gives a glimpse of Murugappa Chettiar’s extravagant and promiscuous lifestyle. Actor Samuthirakani plays a cop who investigates the murder case. Earlier talking about the entertainer to a leading daily in the state, actor Thambi Ramaiah said, “The story of Rajakili is a real-life story of a man. There will be a lot of emotional turmoil and compassion. I am sure the film will give the audience a unique cinematic experience. By the end they will have a complete satisfaction of having witnessed a man’s life journey.” The production house had released the first look poster of the drama a couple of months back which had actor Samuthirakani trying to lift a homeless man (Thambi Ramaiah) with a rebellious expression on his face. The first look poster had intrigued the audience. The teaser has engineered high expectations on the flick.
Apart from actors Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah, the casting department of the movie has actors Daniel Balaji, M S Bhaskar, Pazha Karuppaiah, G Praveen Kumar, Aadukalam Naren, Arul Doss, Krish, Praveen G, Moorthy, Kumki Ashwin, Shwetha, Reshma Pasupaleti, Vetri Kumaran, Kumki Dharani, Deepa, Subha, G P Muthu, and Rahul Ji in various other supporting parts. Music director Sai Dinesh has handled the musical division of the flick. Cinematographers Kedarnath and Gopinath have cranked the camera for the movie. Editor Sudharsan R has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the project. Art directors Vairabalan and Veerasamar have erected sets for the flick. Stuntman Silva Master has choreographed action blocks for the venture. The project is bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi under his production company V House Productions.
On the work front, actor Samuthirakani who had his last outing in the likes of Vaathi is currently busy shooting for his next movie titled Indian 2 directed by film maker S Shankar in which he will be seen alongside actor Kamal Haasan, and for a Telugu flick which is tentatively christened as RC 15 also under the direction of story teller S Shankar in which he will be sharing the screen space with actor Ram Charan. Following which he will begin to shoot for Are You Okay Baby under director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan in which he will be collaborating with actress Abhirami. Apart from these dramas, the actor has a Tamil film Andhagan crafted by Thiagarajan in which he has co starred with actor Prashanth, and a Telugu entertainer Panchathantram helmed by Harsha Pulipaka in various stages of post-production getting fine tuned for release.
