Actor and director Samuthirakani announced his arrival into Tamil cinema with his superb performance in Subramaniapuram directed by his best pal Sasikumar. He later showcased his prowess as a director in Naadodigal with his best buddy Sasikumar in lead. The entertainer went on to be a blockbuster hit laying a strong foundation for him in the industry. The Adutha Saattai actor was last seen in a supporting role in Indian 2 helmed by storyteller Shankar with actor Kamal Haasan in lead. The entertainer fell out of favor among the audience. The actor will soon have an opportunity to get back to winning ways with his upcoming film Thiru.Manickam. Film maker Nanda Periyasamy has written and directed the movie. Actress Ananya of Engaeyum Eppothum fame has portrayed the female lead part. An official released date for the drama is expected to be announced soon.
In the meanwhile, the makers have released the teaser of the venture on social media. Taking to his official X profile, actor Arya unveiled the teaser of Thiru.Manickam and captioned it, “I am delighted to reveal the teaser of Samuthirakani sir’s Thiru.Manickam teaser. Nearly one minute teaser of Thiru.Manickam opens to an aerial shot of a forest to actor Sasikumar’s voiceover comparing real life events to the happenings in a forest, “Deep in the forest, in a strange path, a scared deer keeps fleeing. It was chased by the lion, tiger, fox, and a bear. Suddenly thunder and lightning flashed and heavy rain lashed out. All the animals that chased, halted aside then. The deer which was running, stopped, looked back and said, ‘If something goes wrong here, even the mighty will fall, if everything is right, even the weak will survive.’”
Apart from actor Samuthirakani, the film stars veteran director Bharathi Raja, Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, Nasar, Chinni Jeyanth, Vadivukarasi, Gracy, Chaams, and Sriman. The music for the flick has been composed by music director Vishal Chandrashekar. Cinematographer M Sukumar has operated the camera for the drama. Editor Guna has been brought on board to bring coherence to the entertainer. Art director Sahu has fashioned sets for the flick. Stunt man Dinesh Kasi has choreographed action blocks. The project is bankrolled by G P Rekha Ravikumar, Chintha Gopala Krishna Reddy, and Raja Senthil under the production company GPRK Cinemas.
On the professional front, actor Samuthirakani will next be seen on screens in Shankar’s directorial Game Changer which has Telugu superstar Ram Charan in the lead role. The Poovarasam Peepee actor is currently engaged with his upcoming projects Raja Kili crafted by Suresh Kamatchi, Public scripted by Raa Paraman, and a Telugu venture titled Ramam Raghavam helmed by Dhanraj in which he will be seen alongside actress Moksha Sengupta.
