Actor and director Samuthirakani is one of the busiest actors in South India with more than half a dozen projects across languages in his kitty. The Naan Kadavul Illai star had his last outing in the Sasikumar starrer Nandhan helmed by Era Saravanan in which he had essayed a supporting role. The drama was received with critical acclamations but it did not reflect in the box office. The actor will soon have a prospect to get back to winning ways with his next film christened Thiru Manickam. Story teller Nanda Periyasamy has penned and directed the entertainer. The scene cuts to a police official promising someone via a call that he would find and fetch him to them before dark. We are then introduced to Bharathi Raja who utters a philosophical line, “Things we do not receive when needed, things we receive in surplus when not needed, both are a pain.” The trailer ends with Samuthirakani promising, “I will come soon and reveal the truth.”

Thiru Manickam also features veteran director Bharathi Raja, Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, Nasar, Chinni Jeyanth, Karunakaran, Vadivukarasi, Sulil Kumar, Gracy, Chaams, Chandru, and Sriman.
