Actor Sasi Kumar who ventured in to Tamil cinema with the cult classic drama Subramaniapuram was last seen on screen in the sports action drama Kaari which hit the theaters under the directorial of newbie film maker M. Hemanth Kumar with actress Parvathi Arun in the female lead role. The project did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Thus, it failed to do well at the box office. The Kutty Puli actor has now moved on to his upcoming flick christened Ayothi. Director Manthira Moorthy has written and directed the drama. The project which went on floors some time ago with a small pooja ceremony is now wrapped, and is in the post production stage.
Now, the production house has released the trailer of Ayothi on social media. Actor Sasi Kumar himself has shared the trailer, and expressed his gratitude to actor Vijay Sethupathi for lending his voice for the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared the trailer of the flick, and wrote, “அனைவருக்கும் இனிய தமிழர் திருநாள் வாழ்த்துக்கள். Here is the trailer of Ayothi. Thank u Vijay Sethupathi for ur voice” Here is the post shared by the actor.

The nearly two minutes trailer opens to the voiceover of actor Vijay Sethupathi, “Amongst the living things in this world. Human beings are the worst of them all. He is obsessed with caste. He is fanatic about religion. He will even fight to protect his faith. If a man is resorting to religious warfare, it means he hasn’t understood God! If truth be told. Religion is man-made to suit mankind! Not for God!” We get a scene where a Hindi speaking man asks the name of a Tamil man in Hindi. To which he responds, “I don’t understand.” The man says, “Don’t you know Hindi.” In another scene, a scuffle breaks and the Hindi speaking man says, “I won’t spare you. I will drink your blood.” Sasi Kumar intervenes, “I’m telling you we can settle it amicably.” The Hindi speaking man asks, “Have all you Madrasis ganged up?” Character played by Pugazh says, “Madrasi, huh? Vagabond! You’re at fault, how dare you blame us?” Many scenes in the trailer resemble the current political situation in the country.
Actor Sasi Kumar essays the role of an ambulance driver who gets entangled in to a chaotic situation which is fueled by religion. Apart from actor Sasi Kumar, Ayothi has actress Preethi Asrani playing the female lead role. The casting division of the movie has actors Pugazh of Cook With Komali fame, Yashpal Sharma, and Bose Venkat in various other supporting role. Music director N R Ragunathan has composed the music for the flick. Cinematographer Madheshmanickam has been behind the lens for the film. The editing division of the entertainer has been handed over to editor San Lokesh. Art director G Durai Raj has erected sets for the venture. Stunt man Dinesh Subbarayan has choreographed action moves for the flick. The project is bankrolled by R Ravindran under the banner house Trident Arts.
On the work front, actor Sasi Kumar who was last seen on screens in the sports action drama Kaari is currently busy shooting for his next venture christened Naa Naa under the direction of story teller Nirmal Kumar in which he will be seen alongside actor Sarath Kumar, for Pagaivanuku Arulvai directed by filmmaker Anis in which he will be sharing the screen space with actresses Vani Bhojan and Bindu Madhavi, and for Nandhan helmed by Era Saravanan in which he will be collaborating with actress Suruthi Periyasamy.
