Actor Sasi Kumar has not had a decent commercial success in a long while. But the actor has a handful of projects to have soon. The Subramaniapuram actor was last seen on screen in Kombu Vatcha Singamda which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller S. R. Prabhakaran with actress Madonna Sebastian as the female lead. The entertainer did not do well in the box office as expected. The actor has put that behind him, and has moved on to his upcoming drama christened Naan Mirugamaai Maara. Actress Hari Priya of Kanagavel Kaaka has essayed the female lead role in the venture. Actor Vikranth has played the antagonist in the movie once again after Gethu. Director Sathya Siva of Kazhugoo fame has penned and helmed the movie. The flick that went on floors some time ago has now been wrapped, and is in the post production shaping up for release.

The one-minute odd trailer opens with a bloodied face of actor Sasi Kumar’s character with the voiceover going, “Murder, robbery, cheating, poverty, accident, rape, jealousy, arrogance, beauty, oppression, violence, suicide, religion, caste, untouchability, politics, gold, money, groupism, land, women.” On screen we have the visuals of mentioned deeds. Then, the scene cuts to a character saying, “For 100 crore people. There are 1000 crore wishes. To fulfill these the blood sucking devils are willing to go to any extent. A common man who wants to save his family from the devils will only hear these words.” The trailer ends with Sasi Kumar’s character telling, “If the weak get hit by the strong, the strong gets hit by the god. If I find the person who said this proverb, I’ll chop him into pieces, hmm no, I will burn him alive, no… no… should bury him, should throw him in bubbling hot oil, no, no, no… should stab him, bury him, burn him, arrghh!”
Naan Mirugamaai Maara was initially titled as Common Man. But due to some disputes the production unit changed the title to Naan Mirugamaai Maara. Actor Sasi Kumar will be seen in the role of a sound engineer. While actor Vikranth plays the role of a psychopath killer. Earlier a character introduction video of actor Vikranth’s character released by the production unit with the tagline, ‘Glimpse of Satan’, went viral and garnered the attention of the audience. Talking about Vikranth’s part, film maker Sathya Siva said, “Every story has a villain. But ours have a Satan. The role that actor Vikranth plays will be heinous. I am confident the audience will love it.”
Besides actors Sasi Kumar, Hari Priya, and Vikranth, Naan Mirugamaai Maara has actors Madhusudhana Rao, Appani Sarath, Super Good Kannan, KSG Venkatesh, and Thulasi playing various other supporting roles. The musical department of the flick has been handled by music director Ghibran. Cinematographer Raja Bhattacharjee has shouldered the camera for the entertainer. Editor Srikanth N B has edited the project. Art director Udhaya Kumar has erected the sets for the movie. The drama is produced by T D Rajha along with D R Sanjay Kumar for the production label Chendur Films International.
