Actor Sathyaraj garnered the attention of Tamil cinema audience with his impressive performance as a villain. His popularity then propelled him to play lead roles. The Jackson Durai actor who is nearing his completion of five decades in the industry has numerous blockbusters to his name. Even today he remains to be one of the most sought-after actors in South Indian cinema. In recent years he has portrayed some of the finest roles of his career like Katappa from Baahubali. The Veetla Vishesham actor was last seen on screens in Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan crafted by Vijay Milton with actor Vijay Antony in the lead role. Despite all the noise the entertainer had a tepid opening. The Love Today star will soon have his next release in the upcoming drama christened Thozhar CheGuevara. Filmmaker A D Alex has penned and helmed the flick. It is officially announced that Thozhar CheGuevara will be out in theaters on 20th of September this year.
The makers have now unveiled the trailer of the drama on social media. Taking to their official X account, trend music south dropped a poster along with a link to the trailer of Thozhar CheGuevara and worded, “Witness the ‘Action packed’ trailer of ‘Thozhar CheGuevara’ out now! The two and a half minutes long trailer opens to the voiceover of actor Sathyaraj, “To cover up the events that took place that day people started to write up slanders that suited them. Some people say that he died. Few say he never existed.” We are then given intercuts of violent and bloody action sequences. The violence is amplified with Sathyaraj’s punch dialogue, “History teaches us only one thing. Occasionally someone fights back.” The trailer ends with a character announcing, “My rise is not to bring you down, but if you are scared that my rise will bring you down, then it is not my mistake.” Sathyaraj who was seen in a jovial tone in the glimpse video which was released last year is completely in a serious zone in the trailer.
Casting of Thozhar CheGuevara also has actors Alex, Mottai Rajendran, Anish Edmond Prabhu, Nanjil Sampath, Cool Suresh, and Neel Anand. Music director P S Ashwin has handled musical gears for the entertainer. A song christened ‘Puratchi Thamizhan’ crooned by Sathyaraj has been unveiled from the album. Sam Alan has been trusted with the Cinematography department. Editor Gowtham Rajendar has been brought on board to bring coherence to the drama. Stuntman Vicky has designed action blocks. Thozhar CheGuevara is produced by Anish Edmond Prabhu in collaboration with S Neel Anand and Nirmala Devi for the banner label Grey Magic Creations.
On the professional front, actor Sathyaraj will next be seen on screens in Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he has shared screen space with superstar Rajinikanth and Shruti Haasan.
