It is actor Ajith Kumar everywhere ever since he switched to the white hair and beard look. The actor was last seen on screens in Valimai which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller H. Vinoth with actress Huma Qureshi as the female lead. Now, they have once again teamed up for a project tentatively titled AK61. This is the third time the duo has come together after their blockbusters Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Malayalam actress Manju Warrier was recently brought on board for the film. It is said that the actress will be playing the female lead role in Thunivu. The team has planned to shoot the entertainer in a set erupted in Hyderabad, and in few foreign locations.
The production unit dropped the first look poster of the movie on social media earlier this week. The first look poster turned viral and became the talk of the town. Before the heat subsides, the production unit has shared the second look poster of the flick on social media. Taking to their official twitter handle, the production house dropped the second look poster with the caption, “Mass + Class Thunivu second poster.” Here is the post made by the production house.

The first look poster of Thunivu had actor Ajith Kumar in the chic white hair and beard sitting on a chair holding a firearm. The tagline ‘No guts no glory’ in the poster got the attention of his aficionados who are pumped up. The second look poster has the actor in a fiery closeup shot sporting a stylish eyewear. Even the second look poster has got tongues wagging. Both the first and second look posters have upped the expectations on the project. It is said that the production house has plans to wrap the movie by the end January next year. As they are eyeing to release the drama on actor Ajith Kumar’s Birthday which falls on May 1st.
Apart from actors Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrier, Thunivu has actor Samuthirakani essaying a vital role. Besides them the casting of the drama has actors Veera, G M Sundar, John Kokken and Ajay playing various other supporting roles. The production unit is busy finalizing the rest of the cast that will be part of the project. An official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon. The music for the flick will be composed by music director Ghibran. Cinematographer Nirav Shah will be cranking the camera for the drama. The editing department has been handed over to editor Vijay Velukutty. Stunt coordinator Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed the action sequences. The entertainer has been bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under the banner house Bayview Project LLP along with Zee Studios.
On the work front, actor Ajith Kumar after completing Thunivu will be in the set of filmmaker Vignesh Shivan for their next untitled venture. On the other hand, actress Manju Warrier who was last seen on screens in Tamil in Asuran is currently busy shooting for her Hindi venture titled Amriki Pandit under the direction of director Kalpesh Garg in which she will be sharing the screen space with actor Madhavan. Following which she will shoot for 9 MM under director Dhinil Babu in which she will be seen alongside actor Sunny Wayne. Apart from these projects, the actress has a couple of Malayalam flicks Vellari Pattanam directed by Mahesh Vettiyar in which she has co starred with actor Soubin Shahir, and Ayisha helmed by Aamir Pallikkal in which she has collaborated with actor Ram Bruise in various stages of post-production shaping up for release.
