Actor Raju Jeyam earned his ticket to Kollywood after amassing a fan base through his comical performances in tv serials and web dramas. He made his debut in Tamil cinema by playing actor Kavin’s sidekick in Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma. Now he is all set to headline his upcoming project titled Bun Butter Jam. The entertainer is penned and helmed by storyteller Raghav Mirdath who had previously crafted Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham. Actresses Adhya Prasad and Bhavya Trikha have been brought on board to portray the female lead roles. The production team will soon wrap the shoot for the venture.
The makers had launched the first look poster of the drama last month. Now the production unit has unveiled the second look poster of the movie in a special event that took place on a ship. Director Parthiban attended the event and unveiled the poster. Taking to his official X handle, actor Raju Jeyamohan has dropped the second look poster of Bun Butter Jam and worded, “Bun Butter Jam second look poster. Paathuttu pudichurukaannu sollunga. Pudikkalanaalum sollunga. Tamil Talkies thalaivaa idha edhavadhu panna mudiyuma paarunga! Bun Butter Jam Second Look. A Nivas K Prasanna musical. Written and directed by Raghav Mirdath. Produced by Suresh Subramanian.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The animated second look poster has actor Raju Jeyamohan dressed as an angel with wings spread between actresses Adhya Prasad and Bhavya Trikha. The first look poster had the actor relishing a bun while seated amidst a battlefield with a small amount of blood cascading from his forehead. Earlier talking about the project to a popular YouTube channel, storyteller Raghav Mirdath stated, “Bun Butter Jam is a complete Gen Z film. Today’s digital advancement has made life difficult as much as it has made it better. The advancement has got the youths distracted. They either stay in the past debacles or be anxious about what their future might be. The goal of the movie is to encourage them to live in the present.”
Describing the romance angle in the plot he revealed, “Despite the presence of two heroines Bun Butter Jam will not thread in the lane of romcom. Today the audience has begun to receive stories that are different. In fact, they are expecting diverse plots. If the story is engaging, they go on to become blockbusters irrespective of whether they are small or big films. This gives us confidence to experiment a bit in both writing and making. I am confident that audiences across age will like Bun Butter Jam.”
The casting unit of Bun Butter Jam includes actors Saranya Ponvannan, Charlie, Devadarshini, Michael Thangadurai, and VJ Pappu. Music director Nivas K Prasanna has been trusted with the musical division of the drama. Cinematographer IE Babu Kumar will be operating camera for the flick. Editor John Abraham has been signed in to trim the film. The project is produced by Suresh Subramanian for his home banner Rain of Arrows Entertainment.
