Actor Vikram had his last outing in the action-adventure movie Thangalaan which hit the screens in the year 2024 under the direction of Pa Ranjith with actress Parvathy Thiruvothu in the female lead part. The Iru Mugan star is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming action thriller flick Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2. Director S U Arun Kumar, who garnered the audience’s attention with Chithha, has penciled and crafted the flick. Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has been paired against the actor in the entertainer. The production team had earlier announced that the drama will release on 30th of January. But it got delayed for unknown reasons. Now they have publicized that the film will be released in theaters on 27th of March.
The production unit had released the teaser and first single from the drama a couple of months ago. They have now unveiled the second single from the movie on social media. Taking to her official X profile, actress Dushara Vijayan shared a snap from the song along with a link to the second single ‘Aaathi Adi Aaathi’ from Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, and wrote, “Here’s the song that’s going to be played on loop – Morning, Afternoon, Early evening, Evening, Night and Late Night This one has my heart – It’s now all yours!! Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has handled musical instruments for the track. He has also crooned the number along with singer K R Sadhika. Lyricist Vivek has written the lyrics for the song. Jehovahson Alghar has mixed and mastered the track. The shoot for the drama took place in and around the surroundings of Tiruttani, Karaikudi, and Madurai. After shooting for a pre climax shoot in Madurai, actor S J Suryah, impressed by director S U Arun Kumar’s dedication took to social media to extol him. The fast-paced teaser cut and actor Vikram’s sturdy look in it has got his fans super thrilled. The makers have already announced that the movie will be released in two parts where the prequel will come out as the second installment.
Star cast of Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 also includes actors S J Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Siddique, Prudhvi Raj, Sreeja Ravi, Pavel Navageethan, Anitha Sampath, Ramesh Indhira, S U Baalaji, and T Parvathi. Cinematographer Theni Eswar has operated camera for the venture. Editor G K Prasanna has been brought on board to chop and patch the movie. Art director C S Balachander has designed sets for the project. Stuntman Phoenix Prabu has choreographed action moves for the entertainer. Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 is backed by Riya Shibu under the production banner HR Pictures.
On the professional front, actor Vikram is excitedly expecting the release of his long-delayed entertainer Dhruva Natchathiram Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in which he has featured alongside actors Ritu Varma, Simran, R Parthiban, and Radhika Sarathkumar. The Mahaan actor will soon join the sets of director Madonne Ashwin of Maaveeran fame to shoot for their project tentatively titled Chiyaan 63.
