Actor Rio Raj had his last outing in the romantic drama Joe crafted by storyteller S Hariharan Ram with actresses Malavika Manoj and Bhavya Trikha in the female lead roles. The entertainer was labelled with negative reviews by critics and had a poor box office collection. The Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja star is now gearing up for the release of his yet another romantic flick christened Sweetheart. Debutant director Swineeth S Sukumar has written and directed the entertainer. Malayalam actress Gopika Ramesh, who is known for her role in the web series Suzhal – The Vortex, has depicted the female lead part in the movie. Popular Malayalam director and screenwriter Renji Panicker will be making his acting debut in Tamil cinema with his prominent role in the entertainer. The production unit has already publicized that the movie will be releasing in theaters on 14th of March.
The makers had recently unveiled the first single ‘Awsum Kissa’ from the entertainer on social media. They have now released the second single from the drama. Director Pa Ranjith has launched the second single. Taking to his official X account, story teller Pa Ranjith shared the second single titled ‘Kadhavai Thirandhaye’ from Sweetheart and wrote, “Melt yourself in U1’s Melody. Listen to Second Single Kadhavai Thirandhaye from Sweetheart. Expecting an energetic modern love story from this energetic team. Sweetheart From March 14.” Here is the post made by the director.
Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has handled musical instruments for the film. He has also crooned the number along with singer Sinduri Vishal. Lyricist Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics for the song. Ramji Soma has mixed and mastered the track. Dance master Azar has choreographed dance moves for the number. Apart from Rio Raj, Gopika Ramesh, and Renji Panicker, the casting crew of the venture also has actors Redin Kingsley, Fouzie Hidhaya, Tulasi Shivamani, and P A Aruna Chaleswaran essaying pivotal supporting roles.
The technical side of the project has cinematographer Balaji Subramanyam cranking camera for the venture. Editor Tamil Arasan has been trusted with the editing division of the flick. Art director Siva Sankar has engineered sets for the film. Action director Ramkumar has fashioned action blocks for the flick. The project is backed by Yuvan Shankar Raja under his home banner YSR Fims. K Senthil has purchased the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the flick, and will be releasing it under his home banner Five Star.
On the work front, actor Rio Raj will soon have a release in the crime thriller Niram Marum Ulagil directed by J B Britto. The ensemble cast of the drama has actors Bharathiraja, Natarajan Subramaniam, Sandy Master, Kaniha, and Aadukalam Naren. The Broken Script star is currently engaged in his next project Aanpaavam Pollathathu helmed by newbie director Kalaiarasan Thangavel in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Malavika Manoj.
