Actor Jayam Ravi has had a tough year in his personal life, parting ways with his wife of 18 years. The actor has now put all that behind him and has begun to focus on his career. He had his last outing recently in Brother which hit theaters under the direction of M Rajesh. In a short span, the Tik Tik Tik star will soon have another release in the romantic comedy drama titled Kadhalikka Neramillai. Storyteller Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, who had previously delivered films like Vanakkam Chennai and Kaali, has penned and directed the entertainer. Actress Nithya Menen of O Kadhal Kanmani fame has essayed the female lead part. The flick is currently in the post production stage. An official release date for the movie is expected to be announced soon.
Oscar recipient A R Rahman has scored music for the film. Earlier the production house had unveiled the first single titled ‘Yennai Izhukkuthadi’ from the album on social media. Now they have released the second number ‘Lavender Neramae’. Taking to his official X profile, actor Jayam Ravi himself dropped a poster from the flick along with a link to the track ‘Lavender Neramae’ and captioned it, “Lavender days are here to captivate you. லாவெண்டர் நேரமே – Lavender Neramae from Kadhalikka Neramillai out now. Singers R K Adithya and Alexandra Joy have crooned the number. Lyricist Mashook Rahman has written the lyrics for the song. Dance master Sandy has choreographed dance moves for the number. Music director A R Rahman has teamed up with actor Jayam Ravi after their super-duper album in the Ponniyin Selvan franchise. Cast of Kadhalikka Neramillai also includes actors Yogi Babu, Vinay Rai, John Kokken, Lal, T J Bhanu, Mano, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Rohaan Singh, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, and Sriganesh. Cinematographer Gavemic U Ary has been behind the lens for the drama. Editor Lawrence Kishore has been brought on board to bring coherence to the flick. Art director Shanmugaraja has engineered sets. Stuntman R S Raja has fashioned action moves. The project is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin partnering with M Shenbaga Moorthy and R Arjun Durai for the banner house Red Giant Movies.
On the professional front, actor Jayam Ravi will next be seen on screens in the fantasy comedy drama Genie directed by newbie story teller Bhuvanesh Arjunan. Actresses Krithi Shetty and Kalyani Priyadarshan have portrayed the female lead roles in the project. The Siren actor is currently occupied in his upcoming ventures tentatively titled JR 34 helmed by Ganesh K Babu of Dada fame, and SK 25 helmed by director Sudha Kongara in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela. On the other hand, actress Nithya Menon is currently engaged in her next projects Idly Kadai helmed, headlined, and co produced by actor Dhanush, Dear Exes crafted by Kamini in which she will be playing the lead role, and untitled project of actor Vijay Sethupathi which is filmed by Pandiraj.
