Actor Aegan began his career by headlining a handful of shorts and web series. His role in the sensational series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal catapulted him to popularity. He earned his ticket to the silver screens with his supporting role in Rio Raj’s Joe. He will soon make his debut as a lead hero in the upcoming film Kozhipannai Chelladurai. Story teller Seenu Ramasamy who bagged National award for Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, has penciled and directed the movie. Writer Prabhakar has penned dialogues for the flick. Actress Brigida Saga of Iravin Nizhal fame has been roped in to play the female lead role. Actor Yogi Babu will be seen in a crucial part. The makers have officially announced that Kozhipannai Chelladurai will be out in theaters on 20th of September.
The production house has now dropped the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to his official X profile, music director G V Prakash Kumar unveiled the trailer of Kozhipannai Chelladurai and captioned it, “Best of luck team. Happy to present the official trailer of Kozhipannai Chelladurai, directed by Seenu Ramasamy and starring Aegan, Yogi Babu, Brigida Saga and more. A N R Raghunandhan musical. Nearly two minute trailer of Kozhipannai Chelladurai opens to actor Bhava Chelladurai’s character asking Aegan’s, “Where did you get the strength to raise a girl at the age of eleven? To do that, how much pain and insults would you have endured?” We are shown a few glimpses of a young boy who takes up menial jobs to provide for his sister. He lives a frugal life and saves most of his earnings in a hope to buy a home someday. The second half of the trailer gets a bit violent with skirmishes with various parties and shots of the actor thrashing people.
Cast of Kozhipannai Chelladurai comprises actors Bhava Chelladurai, Aishwariya Dutta, Sathya, Kutti Puli, Dinesh, Riyaz, Leo Sivakumar, Sriram, and Manasvi Kottachi. Music director N R Raghunandhan has taken care of the musical division of the drama. Ashokraj has been trusted with the cinematography department of the flick. Editor Srikar Prasad has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the project. Art director R Saravana Abiraman has designed the background for the venture. Action director Stunner Shyam has fashioned action moves. Kozhipannai Chelladurai is produced by DR D Arulanandhu, and Mathewo Arulanandhu in collaboration with K Srivasan Niranjan for the banner house Vision Cinema House.
On the professional front, actor Yogi Babu will soon have back-to-back releases in GOAT- The Greatest Of All Time scripted by Venkat Prabhu in which he has costarred with actor Vijay, Kanguva helmed by storyteller Siruthai Siva with Suriya in lead, and Malai helmed by IP Murugesh in which he has shared screen space with Lakshmi Menon. Currently, the Ghost star is engaged with his next project christened Medical Miracle helmed by K Johnson. Actress Dharsha Gupta of Cooku with Comali fame will be seen in the female lead part in the film. Besides these projects, he has Evidence crafted by director Ranjith Manikandan in which he will be seen alongside actor Sasikumar, and Poochandi helmed by Krishnan Jayaraj with actress Anjali in lead.
