Malayalam actor Shane Nigam who began his career as a child artist in Thanthonni turned a lead hero in the romantic drama Kismath helmed by Shanavas K Bavakutty. The flick had a good run in the box office. He followed it with successive superhit films in Eeda, Kumbalangi Nights, and Ishq. The success of these projects promptly earned him a huge following. The actor is now set to make his debut in Tamil cinema with his upcoming action drama Madraskaaran. Film maker Vaali Mohan Das has written and directed the entertainer. Actor Kalaiyarasan of Madras fame has essayed a key part. Actresses Niharika Konidela and Aishwarya Dutta will be seen in the female lead roles. An official release date for the drama is expected to be announced soon.
The production house has now released the teaser of the drama on social media. Taking to his official X profile, actor Silambarasan dropped a poster from the movie along with a link to the teaser of Madraskaaran and worded, “Extremely elated and happy to reveal the fierce teaser of the action packed Madraskaaran. My sincere wishes to the entire cast and crew of the film. Produced by SR Productions. A Sam C S musical.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The one-minute odd teaser opens to the back shot of actor Shane Nigam in jail to the voiceover, “A caste chauvinist man, a woman who is waiting to avenge the death of her son, if none of them is responsible for this death, then who?” Following it the teaser through quick jump cuts tosses in shots of gruesome stabbings and murders that rattle the city. There is a shot where the characters played by actors Kalaiyarasan and Shane Nigam glare at each other with actor Kalaiyarasan’s voice in the background fuming, “I know it is him.” Judging by the teaser it looks like the story will be of a fierce battle between actors Kalaiyarasan and Shane Nigam.
Actors Karunas and Pandiarajan have depicted key roles in the flick. Music director Sam C S has handled musical gears for the film. Cinematographer Prasanna S Kumar has cranked the camera for the flick. Editor R Vasantha Kumar has worked in the editing department. Art director Ananth Mani has designed the background. The movie is produced by B Jagadish under the banner house SR Productions.
On the professional front, actor Shane Nigam is gearing up for consecutive releases of his Malayalam entertainers Bermuda directed by T K Rajeev Kumar, Parakramam crafted by Arjun Ramesh in which he will be seen alongside actress Sona Olickal, Aayirathonnam Ravu scripted by Salam Bappu, and Qurbani penciled by V Geo with actress Aarsha Chandhini Baiju as female lead. The actor is currently shooting for his upcoming dramas titled Haal helmed by Prasanth Vijayakumar and Painkili filmed by Devan.
