Actor Dhruv Vikram’s debut flick Adithya Varma ran into a lot of drama before it could finally arrive at the theaters. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Even his much anticipated second outing in Karthik Subbaraj’s Mahaan with his father Vikram in lead failed to provide the takeoff he was looking for to kick start his career. The actor is said to have banked high hopes on his upcoming flick titled Bison. Director Mari Selvaraj, who shot to fame with the stellar Pariyerum Perumal, has written and directed the entertainer. Malayalam actress Anupama Parameswaran of Thalli Pogathey fame has been paired against the actor in the drama. Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan has essayed a prominent role in the flick. The production house has officially announced that the film will be released in theaters this year.
We now have news that the shoot for the entertainer has been completed. Taking to his official X account, story teller Mari Selvaraj dropped a special poster from Bison along with a snap from the last day of shoot and wrote, “All those days of tireless work, undying efforts and constant support has wrapped up together into infinite emotions! In one of the posters shared by the director we witness a bunch of shirtless Kabaddi players playing the game in the scorching sun. The other one has actor Dhruv Vikram feeding a piece of cake to Mari Selvaraj celebrating the end of shoot. Bison is rumored to be a sports drama based on the life of Arjuna award recipient Manathi Ganesan. Besides Dhruv Vikram, Anupama Parameswaran, and Rajisha Vijayan, the cast of Bison also has Malayalam actor Lal, Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Aruvi Madhanand, Hari Krishnan, and Azhagam Perumal portraying various supporting characters.
Music director Nivas K Prasanna has teamed up with story teller Mari Selvaraj for the first time in his career. Cinematography Ezhil Arasu K has cranked cameras for the venture. Editor Sakthi Thiru has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the drama. Art director Kumar Gangappan has designed the background for the movie. Action director Dhilip Subbarayan has fashioned action moves for the project. The movie is funded by Pa Ranjith under his home production Neelam Studios partnering with Sameer Nair, Deepak Seigal, and Aditi Anand for the production label Applause Entertainment.
On the professional front, actor Dhruv Vikram will soon be in the sets of story teller Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 fame to shoot for their upcoming untitled venture. On the other hand, actress Anupama Parameswaran is gearing up for the release of her next Tamil film Dragon helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu in which she has costarred with Pradeep Ranganathan, and Malayalam flick Lockdown crafted by A R Jeeva in which she has shared screen space with actress Abhirami. The Siren actress is presently engaged in her future Malayalam venture christened JSK Truth Shall Always Prevail directed by storyteller Pravin Narayanan in which she will be featuring alongside actor Suresh Gopi, Pet Detective helmed by director Praneesh Vijayan, and a Telugu project Paradha scripted by Praveen Kandregula.
