Actor Siddharth had a catastrophic last outing in Indian 2 in which he had played a character role. The Sivappu Manjal Pachai actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming romantic comedy drama Miss You. Storyteller N Rajasekar has written and helmed the movie. He has sought the assistance of writer R Ashok in shaping the script. Kannada actress Ashika Ranganath of Pattathu Arasan fame has portrayed the female lead role in the film. The entertainer was originally poised to hit the screens on 29th of Nov. But it got delayed due to Fengal typhoon. The makers have now announced that the flick will be out in theaters on 13th of this month.
The production unit has been promoting the film across various channels. The trailer launch event of the movie recently took place in Chennai. Actor Karthi graced the event and launched the trailer. Now he has shared the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to his official X handle, actor Karthi unveiled the trailer of Miss You and wrote, “Namma Siddharth’s Miss You trailer is here!” Here is the post made by the actor.
Two minute trailer of Miss You opens with Siddharth, an aspiring director telling his friend, “It is a love story.” Following which we have the voiceover of a woman asking, “You said you have made the script inspired by a poem of Pablo Neruda.” Things get pacy with the introduction of a politician. We are then thrown a couple of shots of high-octane action moves. In a scene actor Siddharth says, “To get the things we want, we must try all possible ways. If we do not get it despite that, then just forget and move on bro.” The trailer ends with a quip, where Siddharth asks Bala Saravanan, “This is a script of a horror movie, did I not ask you to search for a love story?” He retorts, “In our life, both are the same, no?”
Miss You also has actors Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan, Lollu Sabha Maran, Sha Ra, Ponvannan, Jayaprakash, Ravi Mariya, Sharath Lohithaswa, and Sastika essaying various other supporting roles. Music director Ghibran Vaibhoda has composed music for the movie. Cinematographer K G Venkatesh has been behind the lens for the drama. Editor Dinesh Ponraj has been engaged to trim the flick. Stunt man Dinesh Kasi has fashioned action blocks for the entertainer. Art director Siva Sankar has designed the background. The venture is produced by Samuel Mathew in association with Monika Harirao under the production label 7 Miles Per Second Productions. Red Giant Movies have bagged the theatrical rights of the project.
On the work front, actor Siddharth will next be seen on screens in Indian 3 scripted by S Shankar with actor Kamal Hassan in lead. He is currently busy shooting for Test helmed by S Sashikanth in which he will be co starring with actors Meera Jasmine, Madhavan, and Nayanthara. On the other hand, currently actress Ashika Ranganath is engaged in her next Tamil movie Sardar 2 filmed by director P S Mithran in which she will be seen alongside actor Karthi, and a Telugu film Vishwambhara directed by Mallidi Vassishta in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Chiranjeevi and Trisha Krishnan. Besides these projects, she has a Kannada movie titled Gathavaibhava crafted by Simple Suni in which she has collaborated with actor Dushyanth in the post production stage.
