Actor Siddharth who ventured into Tamil cinema with an uncredited role in Mani Ratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal turned lead hero in Boys. He has not delivered a solid commercial success in a long while after Jigarthanda. The Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru actor had his last outing in the likes of the supernatural horror thriller flick Aruvam which hit the screens under the directorial of film maker Sai Sekhar with actress Catherine Tresa in the female lead. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Thus, it fell flat in the box office. Now, the actor has moved on, and is gearing up for the release of his next project christened Takkar. Actress Divyansha has played the female lead role. Director Karthik G Krish has penned and crafted the movie. The entertainer which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a long while back is finally done and dusted ready for release. Takkar will be making its way to the theaters on 26th of May this year.
The production house has now released the teaser of the drama on social media. Taking to their official twitter account, the production house shared the teaser of the flick, and wrote, “Romantic action ride. Teaser of Takkar. Starring Siddharth. One-minute teaser cut opens to a conversation between actors Siddharth and Divyansha, where the former asks, “Do you like me?” She responds, “I do not like love.” He goes, “Why do you not like it?” She says, “Because there is no such thing.” The scene then cuts to both lighting a cigarette from a lighter. Then she asks him, “How do you know what brand of alcohol I like?” He responds, “I know.” Then using a cuss word, she goes on to say, “Must thrash everyone.” He questions, “So much aversion towards men?” She says, “Yes, why should we be submissive to you.” Then we have a shot where she says, “Even if we do not have money, it’s okay. But too much money can take away our peace.” He retorts, “All these are said by those who have money to people who do not have money.” In the second half we are presented with few glimpses of action blocks. The teaser ends with actress Divyansha saying, “See if you want to have sex with me, then do it and forget it. No need for love and marriage.” The teaser has enjoyed a great reception among the audience clocking millions of views, and engineering high expectations on the venture.
Apart from actors Siddharth, and Divyansha, the casting division of the drama has actors Yogi Babu, Abimanyu Singh, Munishkanth, and RJ Vigneshkanth portraying various other supporting parts. Music director Nivas K Prasanna has been brought on board to compose music for the film. Cinematographer Vanchinathan Murugesan has been behind camera for the movie. Editor G A Gowtham has been roped in to trim the entertainer. Art director Udaya Kumar K has designed the background for the flick. Action director Dinesh Kasi has choreographed action sequences for the venture. The project is bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram along with G Jayaram under the production label Passion Studios.
On the other hand, actor Siddharth who was last seen on screens in Aruvam is currently busy shooting for his next venture titled Test under the direction of story teller S Sashikanth in which he will be sharing screen space with actors R Madhavan and Nayanthara, and for Indian 2 helmed by director Shankar in which he will be collaborating with actor Kamal Hassan. Apart from these flicks, the actor has his long-delayed entertainer christened Chiththa crafted by film maker S U Arun Kumar in the post production stage shaping up for release.
