Actor Harish Kalyan lastly entertained audiences in the sports drama Lubber Pandhu which hit theaters under the directorial of Tamizharasan Pachamuthu with actors Gethu Dinesh, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, and Swasika in the lead roles. The project opened to positive reviews from critics and enjoyed a great reception among audiences. After a mammoth hit to his name, the Let’s Get Married actor is now gearing up for the release of his next movie titled Diesel. Story teller Shanmugam Muthusamy, who has crafted projects like Adangathey and Puranagaram, has penned and helmed the drama. Actresses Athulya Ravi of Yenni Thuniga fame and Ananya of Iravum Pagalum Varum fame have played the female lead roles in the movie. Actor Vinay has essayed the antagonist role. The post production works for the film are happening in full swing.
Meanwhile, we have news that actor Silambarasan has sung a song titled ‘Dillubaru Aaja’ in the flick. Actor Harish Kalyan himself has revealed the info on social media. Taking to his official X profile, actor Harish Kalyan shared a short promo clip along with the actor and wrote, “STR for Diesel. Ennoda kaadhuku idhu paata irundhalum, en nenjukku anbu dhan kekkudhu. The one-minute odd song promo released by Harish Kalyan has actor Silambarasan arriving at the recording studio, and few shots of him singing the track. Towards the end, actor Harish Kalyan announces Silambarasan’s contribution, while the latter chimes in asking the audience to enjoy the song. Music director Dhibu Ninan Thomas of Kombu Vatcha Singamda fame has handled musical instruments for the project. First single from the movie christened ‘Beer Song’ which released last year became a sensational hit and had people of all ages making reels on the song.
Apart from Harish Kalyan, Athulya Ravi, Ananya, and Vinay, cast of Diesel also has actors Sai Kumar, Vivek Prasanna, Sachin Kedhekar, Zakir Husain, Thangadurai, KPY Dheena, and Karunaas portraying various supporting parts. The technical side of the drama has cinematographers Richard M Nathan and M S Prabhu working in tandem to capture the movie. Editor San Lokesh has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the entertainer. Action directors Stunt Selva and Rajasekhar have choreographed action blocks for the flick. Art director Rembon Balraj has designed the background for the venture. The project is funded by Devarajulu Markandeyan under the banner house Third Eye Entertainment in collaboration with SP Sankar for the production company SP Cinemas.
On the work front, actor Harish Kalyan will soon have his next release in the romantic drama Nooru Kodi Vaanavil crafted by director Sasi in which he will be seen alongside actress Siddhi Idnani. On the other hand, actress Athulya Ravi is getting ready for the release of her comedy heist entertainer Chennai City Gangsters helmed by director Arun Keshav in which she has shared screen space with actor Vaibhav.
