Actor Sivakarthikeyan continues to be an inspiring personality for every ordinary artist aiming to hustle big in the industry one day. The Namma Veettu Pillai actor had his last outing in the likes of the romantic comedy drama Prince which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller K V Anudeep with Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka in the female lead part. The movie made its way to the theaters amid high expectations among fans of the actor. Unfortunately, it opened up to mixed reviews and did not live up to the expectations. But despite that, it managed to do well in the box office. The actor who is basking in the success of Prince, is now busy shooting for his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual drama titled Maaveeran. The Telugu version of the project is christened Mahaveerudu. Film maker Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame has written, and directed the entertainer. The movie went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony. Director Shankar, father of actress Aditi Shankar graced the event.
The shoot for the entertainer is happening at a brisk pace. The team after completing a 20-day schedule recently in Ennore has now traveled all the way to Pondicherry to shoot for the final schedule. There is news that the shoot for this schedule is expected to be wrapped by the end of this month. It is said that the production house is eyeing to bring the drama to the theaters as a festive release for Diwali this year. Recently, the production unit released the first single track ‘Scene ah scene ah’ from the film. Actor Sivakarthikeyan shot for the song sequence with nearly 500 group dancers. The song was shot using a mocobot camera. Musician Anirudh Ravichander has crooned the number. The song has enjoyed a great reception among aficionados of the star. Actor Sivakarthikeyan grew long hair to play his part in the movie. The first look poster of the film garnered attention of the audience, and became a talking point as Sivakarthikeyan’s look in the poster sort of resembled superstar Rajinikanth’s much celebrated character Suriya from Thalapathy. The first look poster went viral on social media, and has set high expectations on the project.
Apart from actor Sivakarthikeyan, Maaveeran has actress Aditi Shankar essaying the female lead part. Maaveeran will be the sophomore project of actress Aditi Shankar who made her debut in actor Karthi’s Viruman. Director Mysskin will be seen as the antagonist. The casting division of the venture has veteran actress Saritha, Goundamani, Yogi babu, Sunil Reddy, and Koushik Mahata depicting various other supporting roles. Music director Bharath Sankar will be composing music for the flick. Cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna has been behind camera for the film. Editor Philomin Raj has been roped in to edit the flick. Art director Kumar Gangappan has designed the background for the flick. Action director Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed action blocks of the venture. The project is funded by Arun Viswa for the production company Shanthi Talkies.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who had his last outing in the romedy drama Prince is currently busy shooting for his next movie tentatively titled as SK 24 under the direction of story teller Rajkumar Periyasamy in which he will be seen alongside actress Sai Pallavi. Apart from this drama, the actor has the science fiction project christened Ayalaan crafted by film maker R. Ravikumar in which he has shared screen space with actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production stage getting shaped for release. He is also bankrolling a project titled Kottukkaali which is set to be helmed by director P. S. Vinoth Raj with actors Soori and Anna Ben in the lead roles.
