Actor Sivakarthikeyan, touted to be the next superstar of Kollywood is on a roll in Tamil cinema at the moment. The Namma Veettu Pillai actor was last seen on screens in the comedy drama Don which hit the theaters under the direction of director Cibi Chakaravarthi with actress Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead. Despite negative reviews the entertainer did well commercially due to the actor’s star power. The actor has now moved on to his next project, and is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming romedy entertainer titled Prince. Tollywood director Anudeep K. V is set to make his debut in Kollywood with Prince. The movie which went on floors earlier this year has been wrapped, and even the post production works have been done and dusted. Prince is slated to hit the screens as a Diwali release on 21st of October this year. The production team had recently sent the movie to the censor board for certification.
Now, we have news that Prince has been bestowed with a clean U certificate by the censor board. The production house themselves has announced the news on social media. Taking to their official twitter handle the production house shared the news with the message, “Prince censored. Clean U with a runtime of 2 hr 23 min! Actor Sivakarthikeyan has played the role of a mischievous school teacher named Anbu. He falls in love with a foreigner named Jessica played by Maria Ryaboshapka, who has come to teach English in the school. The production house had recently released the trailer of the flick on social media. It gave us a glimpse of actor Sivakarthikeyan being a playful jovial character cracking jokes and being lenient with the students. The trailer had a great reception among the fans of the actor, and has clocked millions of views till date. It has kindled high expectations for the movie.
Apart from actor Sivakarthikeyan, Prince has Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka making her debut in Tamil cinema as a female lead. The casting of the venture has actors Sathyaraj, Anandraj, Carl A Harte, and Premgi Amaran essaying pivotal roles. The music for the entertainer has been composed by musician Thaman S. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has cranked the camera for the film. Editor Praveen K. L has edited the flick. Master Dinesh Subbarayan has choreographed the action blocks for the flick. Art director Narayana Reddy has erected the sets for the drama. The project is produced by Suniel Narang for the banner house Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas, along with D. Suresh Babu and Pushkar Ram Mohan Rao under the production house Suresh Productions.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who was last seen on screens in the action comedy flick Don is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual project christened Maveeran directed by story teller Madonne Ashwin in which he will be collaborating with actress Aditi Shankar. The actor would soon start to shoot for his untitled movie which is set to be helmed by story teller Rajkumar Periyasamy. Apart from these ventures, the actor has the science fiction project christened Ayalaan scripted by director R. Ravikumar in which he has co starred with actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production getting fine-tuned for release.
