Actor Vijay Sethupathi lastly entertained audiences in the period political crime thriller Viduthalai Part 2 which hit the screens under the direction of auteur Vetrimaaran with actress Manju Warrier as female lead. The movie drew mixed reviews from critics. But had a decent box office success. The Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal star will soon have his next release in the upcoming flick Train. Director Mysskin has joined forces with the actor for the first time in his career. Actress Shruthi Haasan has played the female lead role in the movie. Kannada actress Ira Dayanand is set to make her debut in Kollywood with her supporting role in the flick. The entertainer which went on floors in 2023 was wrapped last year in October. It has been in the post production stage since. An official update regarding the release date of the film is expected to be made soon.
Actress Ira Dayanand recently celebrated her birthday. As a token of love the production team of Train has launched a special glimpse video of the actress from the film, and have extended their wishes on social media. Taking to his official X account, story teller Mysskin shared Ira Dayanand’s special glimpse video from Train and wrote, “TRAIN team heartily wishes sweetheart Ira Dayanand a very joyful birthday! Nearly one-minute special glimpse video has montage shots of actress Ira Dayanand ascending stairs in a railway station and a few snaps of her inside the train. The entertainer is set to predominantly unfold inside a train revolving around daily commuters. The ensemble cast of the entertainer also includes actors Nassar, Yugi Sethu, Narain, K S Ravi Kumar, Sampath Raj, Kalaiyarasan, Selvaah Chandrasekhar, Ajay Ratnam, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Vincent Asokan, Ganesh Venkatraman, Preethy Karan, Shaji Chen, and Selva. Music director Mysskin himself has handled musical gears for the flick. Cinematographer Fowzia Fathima has been behind camera for the drama. Editor Sri Watsan will be overseeing the editing department of the entertainer. Art director C K Mujabir Rahmaan has engineered sets for the film. Stunt master Sudheesh has fashioned action moves for the venture. The drama is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the production company V Creations.
On the work front, actor Vijay Sethupathi is staring at successive releases via Ace filmed by director Arumuga Kumar in which he will be seen alongside actress Rukmini Vasanth, and Pisasu 2 helmed by Mysskin in which he has featured alongside actresses Andrea Jeremiah and Poorna. Apart from these films, the Maharaja actor has his long-delayed drama Gandhi Talks crafted by Kishor Pandurang Belekar in which he has associated with actors Arvind Swamy, and Aditi Rao Hydari. On the other hand, actress Shruthi Haasan is presently busy shooting for her next project Jana Nayagan scripted by H Vinoth in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, & Gautham Vasudev Menon, Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which she will be collaborating with actor Rajinikanth, and a Telugu venture titled Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire helmed by Prashanth Neel in which she will be co starring with actor Prabhas.
