Actor Sibi Sathyaraj was last seen on screen in Vattam which was released in the year 2022 under the direction of Kamalakannan with actresses Andrea Jeremiah and Athulya Ravi essaying the female lead parts. The movie attracted negative reviews from critics and fell flat in the box office. After being off the screens for two years, the Naaigal Jaakirathai star is getting ready for his next release in Ten Hours. Debutant director Ilayaraja Kaliyaperumal has penned and crafted the drama. Actress Yamini Chander of Dinosaurs fame has been cast against the actor in the project. The production house had earlier announced that the entertainer will be releasing on Pongal this year. However, they have not provided a confirmation yet.
The makers have now launched the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to his official X account, story teller Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a poster along with a link to the trailer of Ten Hours and extended his wishes to the team, “Here’s the trailer of Ten Hours. Wishing Sibi Sathyaraj all the very best and my hearty congratulations in advance to the entire cast and crew.” Here is the post made by the director.
The two minutes odd trailer of Ten Hours opens to a cop informing about a murder to his superior from the control room, “Sir Chennai to Coimbatore Aiyampon travels, bus number TN 10 BC 5697, we have received news that a murder has taken place in the bus.” We have the introduction of actor Sibiraj, who says, “I am Athoor inspector Castro speaking, a kidnapping case has been reported. We had information that a girl was being torched in a bus. But when we arrived at the spot, we found nothing of that sort. But we found someone lying dead inside the bus.” An intense investigation unfolds. The trailer ends with a cop expressing concern, “To figure out the murderer we are agonizing every passenger in the bus. But within a period of ten hours, he abducted a girl, killed a man inside the bus, shot a prisoner in the cell, and petrol bombed our station. And above all he has stolen the body that was sent to autopsy. How are we going to apprehend him sir?”
Ten Hours is hyped to be a gripping crime thriller that portrays events that unfold in a span of ten hours. Apart from actor Sibiraj, the casting unit of Ten Hours has actors Gajaraj, Dileepan, Jeeva Ravi, Saravan Subbiah, and Raj Aiyyappa playing various supporting parts. Music composer K S Sundramoorthy has scored music for the film. Cinematographer Jai Karthik has been behind the lens for the project. Editor Lawrence Kishore has been engaged to trim the entertainer. Art director Arun Shankar Durai has designed the background for the venture. Stunt master Sakthi Saravanan has fashioned action blocks. The entertainer is backed by Latha Balu and Durgaini Vinoth under their home banner Duvin Studios. K Senthil will be presenting the flick under his banner Five Star.
On the work front, actor Sibi Sathyaraj is also gearing up for his next release in Ranger directed by storyteller Dharanidharan in which he has shared screen space with actresses Remya Nambeesan and Madhu Shalini. Currently the Pokkiri Raja actor is busy shooting for the sequel of his superhit movie Jackson Durai under the direction of Dharanidharan in which he will be seen alongside his father Sathyaraj. On the other hand, actress Yamini Chander is keenly awaiting the release of her upcoming entertainer Padai Thalaivan filmed by director U Anbu in which she has collaborated with actor Shanmuga Pandiyan, son of late actor Vijayakanth.
