Actor Sivakarthikeyan had a stellar hit in his last release Amaran helmed by director Rajkumar Periasamy with actress Sai Pallavi in the female lead role. The venture drew mixed reviews from critics but ended up with a mammoth commercial success. The Namma Veettu Pillai star is now getting ready for his next release via the action thriller Madharasi. Director A R Murugadoss has written and directed the entertainer. Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth will be making her debut in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the venture. Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal of Thuppakki fame returns to Tamil cinema once again as an antagonist. The production unit has shot the entertainer in and around the localities of Chennai, Pondicherry, and Thoothukudi. The movie will be released in languages Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The flick was poised to hit screens on Deepavali last year. But was pushed due to Amaran’s release.
Actor Sivakarthikeyan recently celebrated his birthday. As a token of love, the production house of Madharasi has unveiled the title glimpse of the drama on social media. Taking to his official X profile, director A R Murugadoss himself shared a couple of posters from the movie along with a link to the title glimpse of Madharasi and captioned it, “Happy Birthday dearest Sivakarthikeyan. The ground is set for the MASSIVE ACTION. Let the HAVOC begin. SK x ARM is Madharasi. TITLE GLIMPSE & FIRST LOOK out now!” Here is the post made by the story teller.
40 seconds of odd title glimpse of Madharasi opens with an intense background score to an aerial view of a car factory. Then cuts to a series of bomb blasts. We then see actor Sivakarthikeyan beating up a couple of henchmen. It ends with a bloodied Sivakarthikeyan looking intensely at the camera. It was reported that director A R Murugadoss initially penned the script for actor Vijay. But due to the star’s political entry the project landed on Sivakarthikeyan’s lap. Beside Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, and Vidyut Jammwal, the casting unit of Madharasi has Biju Menon, Vikranth, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prem Kumar, Yaseetharan Ratnakumar, Sanjay and Sachana Namidass depicting various supporting characters.
Music director Anirudh Ravichander has been trusted with the musical division of the drama. Madharasi marks the third association of him with director A R Murugadoss after their superhit albums in Kaththi and Darbar. The cinematography department of the venture has been overseen by Sudeep Elamon. Editor A Sreekar Prasad has been engaged to edit the entertainer. Art director Shanmugaraja has erected sets for the flick. Stunt director Kevin Kumar has choreographed action moves for the movie. The entertainer is bankrolled by N Srilakshmi Prasad under the production banner Sri Lakshmi Movies.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan is presently shooting for his upcoming film Parasakthi scripted by Sudha Kongara in which he will be collaborating with actors Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela. On the other hand, actress Rukmini Vasanth will soon be seen on screens in Tamil in the romantic crime comedy flick Ace helmed by Arumuga Kumar in which she has performed alongside actor Vijay Sethupathi. Currently, she is occupied in her next Telugu film tentatively titled NTR 31 which is helmed by director Prashanth Neel of KGF fame.
