Actor Arjun Das made an impact right away with his character role in his debut Tamil flick Kaithi and has earned a large following with his enchanting voice. He entertained audiences earlier this year in the romantic thriller Rasavathi scripted by director Santha Kumar with actress Tanya Ravichandran as female lead. Recently the Rasavathi star wrapped the shoot for his next romantic project tentatively titled Production No 4. Newbie director Vignesh Srikanth who was previously credited for writing dialogues for Por, has penned and directed the entertainer. Actress Aditi Shankar has been brought on board to romance actor Arjun Das in the film.
The makers have now announced the title of the flick on social media. The movie is christened Once More. Taking to his official X handle, actor Arjun Das himself unveiled a poster from the drama along with a link to the title teaser and worded, “My grandmother, aunt, sisters, relatives and an elderly woman I met at the theater during Rasavathi said “Do one feel-good romantic film. Ratham, vettu kutthu venaam”. So, for all of you, especially the paati that blessed me – this one is for all of you! Hope you all like it. Will need your blessings, support & love as always. Once More is the title of superstar Vijay’s 1997 blockbuster drama of the same name. Earlier chatting about the venture to a leading media house, director Vignesh Srikanth divulged, “My debut venture will be a wholesome breezy romance entertainer. It revolves around Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar who fall in love with each other. The interesting aspect is that they both have a contrasting personality. Not just the two of them, even their family members and friends. How they navigate their differences is what forms the crux of the story.” He further disclosed, “It will be in the lines of Mani Ratnam sir’s O Kadhal Kanmani. I have tried to capture the difficulties and complexities in today’s relationships. Also, the magical moments that only transpire when two polar-opposite personalities fall in love.”
The musical department of the project has been handed over to music composer Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy. Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has handled camera gears for the movie. Editor Nash will be overseeing the editing division of the movie. Art director Raj Kamal has designed sets for the entertainer. Once More is backed by Yuvaraj Ganesan of Million Dollar Studios, who had bankrolled Good Night and Lover, partnering with V R Vamsi of FYNTEMAX banner house.
On the work front, actor Arjun Das is gearing up for a consecutive release in Vidaamuyarchi directed by Magizh Thirumeni in which he has co starred with actor Ajith Kumar, and a Telugu flick They Call Him OG crafted by director Sujeeth in which he has shared screen space with actors Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka Mohan. He is currently engaged in his next projects Bomb helmed by director Vishal Venkat in which he will be associating with actress Shivathmika Rajashekar, and Kaithi 2 filmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be seen alongside actor Karthi. On the other hand, actress Aditi Shankar is getting ready for the release of her another romantic film Nesippaya crafted by Vishnuvardhan. Actor Akash Murali, son of late actor Murali and brother of Atharvaa Murali, is set to open his account in Tamil cinema via the venture.
