Multitalented artist Sasikumar opened his account in Kollywood as a director, actor, and producer with his period action drama Subramaniapuram. The entertainer turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of Tamil cinema. The Naan Mirugamaai Maara actor was last seen on screens in Nandhan which hit the theaters under the direction of film maker Era Saravanan. The flick was praised with mixed reviews from critics. Now the actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming drama Tourist Family. Debutant story teller Abishan Jeevinth has penciled and directed the flick. Veteran actress Simran played the love interest of the actor in the movie. Actor Yogi Babu has essayed a pivotal part. The production house has officially announced that the project will hit the screens in 2025.
The Tourist Family team has begun to promote the project. As part of it they have launched the title teaser of the venture on social media. Taking to their official X profile, Million Dollar Studios dropped the title teaser of Tourist Family and wrote, “When family elopes, comedy ensues. Nearly four minutes long title teaser of Tourist Family opens to a Sri Lankan Tamil family packing up their things to flee the nation. Actor Sasikumar keeps them on their toes and many situational comedies play out. In a shot he notices the missing wall clock and asks his wife, played by Simran. She responds, “You see, I did not want to spend on a new one, so I packed the clock.” He retorts, “We are eloping from this house. So, we cannot take things that belong to the landlord.” The title teaser promises a fun filled black comedy in the making.
Apart from Sasikumar, Simran, and Yogi babu, the star cast of the entertainer has actors Mithun Jai, Sankar, M S Bhaskar, Ramesh Tilak, Kamalesh, Sreeja Ravi, Bucks, and Elango Kumaravel depicting various supporting roles. Music composer Sean Roldan will be scoring music for the film. Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has handled camera gears for the movie. Editor Barath Vikraman has been brought on board to bring coherence to the drama. Art director Raj Kamal has fashioned the background for the venture. Stunt master John Mark has choreographed action blocks. Tourist Family is backed by Nazerath Pasilian and Magesh Raj Pasilian under the banner house Million Dollar Studios is associated with Yuvaraj Ganesan for his production company MRP Entertainment.
On the work front, currently actor Sasi Kumar is shooting for his next projects titled Freedom crafted by Sathyasiva in which he will be collaborating with actress Lijo Mol Jose, and Evidence filmed by Ranjith Manikandan in which he will be co starring with actor Naveen Chandra. Besides these ventures, the Kennedy Club actor has Naa Naa helmed by N V Nirmal in which he has shared screen space with actor Sarathkumar, and Pagaivanuku Arulvai crafted by Anees in which he has romanced actresses Vani Bhojan and Bindhu Madhavi in the box waiting to see the light of day. On the other hand, actress Simran is presently occupied with her upcoming dramas Sabdham directed by Arivazhagan Venkatachalam in which she will be seen alongside actor Aadhi Pinisetty and The Last One scripted by Lokesh Kumar in which she plays the lead role.
