Actress Yashika Aannand who was away from the industry due to her dreadful accident is gradually making her way back to business. The Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu actress was last seen on screens in a cameo part in the psychological romantic thriller drama Bagheera which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Adhik Ravichandran with actor Prabhu Deva in the lead role. The entertainer opened to negative reviews from both critics and audience. Thus, left the theaters unnoticed. Now, the actress has put that behind her, and is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film christened Chaitra. Film maker M Jenith Kumar has written and directed the project. The venture which went on floors a while back with a small pooja ceremony, is finally done and dusted ready for release.
The production unit has now launched the trailer of the movie on social media. Saregama’s south division has shared the trailer. Taking to their official twitter account, they dropped a poster from the flick along with the link to the trailer of Chaitra, and wrote, “Yashika Aannand’s horror thriller Chaitra trailer out now! Two minute trailer opens with actress Yashika Aannand questioning, “Do you believe in ghosts, spirits, and the devil?” The scene then cuts to a person saying that Chaitra is not well and undergoing treatment. We learn that she is in suicidal mentality. Has the habit of going to the rooftop of a high-rise building and threatening to jump off the building. We then witness a person asking, “Are stories about dead people coming back as ghosts true?” To which actress Yashika Aannand responds, “All these are complete idiocy.” Following which we see a bunch of police officers investigating a case, and one of the cops informs his senior official that there is a ghost in a house. The trailer ends with a priest asking, “Is ghost a god to distinguish between good and bad. It is a ghost.” The trailer has clocked over a million views till date. The production unit is working to bring the flick to the theaters in the month of May. An official release date is expected to be announced soon.
Actress Yashika Aannand will be seen playing the titular part. Apart from actress Yashika Aannand, the casting department of the movie has actors Avitej Reddy, and Shakthi Mahendra in vital supporting roles. Music director Prabhakaran Meiyappan will be handling musical instruments for the venture. Cinematographer Sathish Kumar has been behind the lens for the flick. Editing division of the project is handed over to editor Elisha. The entertainer is produced by K Manoharan along with T Kannan Varatharaj under the banner house Mars Productions.
On the work front, actress Yashika Aannand who had her last outing in Bagheera is currently busy shooting for her next project titled Ivan Than Uthaman crafted by story tellers Magesh and Venkatesh in which she will be co starring with actors Mahat Raghavendra and Ma Ka Pa, for Pambattam under the directorial of Vadivudaiyan in which she will be seen alongside actresses Mallika Sherawat, and Ritika Sen, for Sulphur scripted by director Bhuvan in which she will be associating with actor Siddharth Vipin, and for Siruthai Siva directed by Umapathy in which she will be romancing actor Balaji Murugadoss. Apart from these ventures, the actress has Raja Bheema helmed by film maker Naresh Sampath in which she has collaborated with actor Arav for a cameo part in the post production stage shaping up for release.
