Actress Sai Pallavi has been facing a lot of heat of late. But the actress has been handling things calmly earning the appreciation of her fans for her boldness. Amidst all this the actress has been busy with her promotion works for her next film titled Gargi. Director Gautham Ramachandran has helmed the drama. The film went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony, and is now shaped up and ready for release. The entertainer is poised to hit the screens on 15th of this month. The venture will be launched in Telugu and Kannada language.
Now, the production house has released the trailer of the movie on social media. Actress Sai Pallavi herself has shared the trailer. Taking to her official twitter handle, the actress shared the trailer of the entertainer and wrote, “Gargi She’ll need your love and blessing. I’m extremely elated to share the trailer with you all!” Here is the trailer shared by the actress.
The three minutes cut opens with a voice in the background enquiring whether she is the daughter of Brahmanandam. Through a broken glass window, we have the introduction of Gargi played by actress Sai Pallavi. Then we have a voiceover of a woman saying, “I don’t know how to explain. Our whole lives turned upside down in a single day.” In the next frame we learn that Gargi along with her family has shifted to Chennai from Tuticorin, and that she works as a teacher in St Peter’s school. Things move smoothly in the first half of the trailer.
In the second it gets tense. The cops have apprehended Gargi’s father under some case and have him under their custody. The news breaks and people from the press camp in front of her house. Gargi is clueless as to what to do, but she takes up the fight to the court. An underdog lawyer with a stammering issue played by Kaali Venkat offers to take up the case. Towards the end Gargi appears to have lost confidence, and the trailer ends with her father’s voiceover encouraging her, “Gargi, whose daughter, are you? Can you be scared of all this? Think of your father for a minute, courage will automatically flow through your veins.”
Gargi is said to be an emotional courtroom drama. Apart from actress Sai Pallavi, the flick has actress Aishwarya Lekshmi in an extended cameo appearance. The casting department of the drama has actors Kaali Venkat, R. S. Shivaji, Kalaimaamani Saravanan, Jayaprakash, Prathap, Sudha, Livingston, and Kavithalaya Krishnan essaying various other supporting roles. The music for the venture is composed by musician Govind Vasantha. Lyricist Karthik Netha has penned the lyrics. Cinematographers Sriyanti and Premkrishna Akkattu have been behind the camera. The editing department of the film has been handled by editor Shafique Mohamed Ali. The project is bankrolled by Ravichandran Ramachandran, Thomas George, Aishwarya Lekshmi V, and Gautham Ramachandran under the production house Sakthi Film Factory. Actor Suriya along with Jyothika is set to present the drama under his banner house 2D Entertainment.
On the work front, actress Sai Pallavi who was last seen on screens in Tamil in the anthology film Paava Kadhaigal will soon begin to shoot for actor Sivakarthikeyan’s next flick tentatively titled SK 21 under the directorial of film maker Rajkumar Periasamy.
