Later, the actress made her debut as a lead heroine in Mounam Pesiyadhe which hit the screens under the direction of film maker Ameer with actor Suriya in the lead. The entertainer went on to be a massive hit. Following the success of the film, the actress became one of the busiest actresses in South Indian Cinema. The actress who had been vacationing in Mexico is back in town and has resumed business. The actress is gearing up to begin shooting for her next project. The venture is titled ‘The Road’ and is set to be directed by debutant director Arun Vaseegaran. The drama went on floors recently with a small pooja ceremony. It is said that the film is based on a real-life event that took place in Madurai back in the year 2000’s. According to reports the movie will be a bloody revenge tale. The production unit has planned for a 50 days first schedule shoot which is set to take place in Madurai. Apart from actress Trisha Krishnan, The Road has actors Santhosh Prathap of Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam fame, Vela Ramamoorthy, Shabeer, Miya George, and M. S. Bhaskar essaying various other supporting roles. Cinematographer K. G. Venkatesh will be cranking the camera for the flick. Music director Sam C. S will be composing the music for the flick. Editor Nagooran will be taking care of the editing department of the drama. The movie is funded by Durai Swamy Arun Prasath for the banner house AAA Cinemaa.Â
On the work front, the actress who was last seen on screens in Paramapadham Vilayattu is currently busy shooting for her upcoming Malayalam drama christened Ram under the direction of director Jeethu Joseph in which the actress will be seen alongside superstar Mohanlal. The Lesa Lesa actress has auteur Mani Rathnam’s dreamwork project, the epic historical fiction Ponniyin Selvan shaping up in the post production. The actress will be making her OTT debut with her Telugu web series titled Brinda filmed by Surya Vangala. Apart from these entertainers, the actress has her long-delayed flick Garjanai remake of Bollywood drama NH10 helmed by storyteller Sundar Balu, Sathuranga Vettai 2 directed by N. V. Nirmal Kumar, and Raangi filmed by filmmaker M. Saravanan in her pipeline awaiting release.Â
