Actress Trisha Krishnan who stole the hearts of Tamil cinema audience with her endearing and composed presence in Lesa Lesa have succeeded in holding on to it for more than two and a half decades. A herculean accomplishment not many actresses have managed to achieve. Her journey is still progressing sound and steady with movies across Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu cinema industries. The Paramapadham Vilayattu actress was last seen on screens alongside actor Vijay in Leo helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The actress will soon make her debut in the digital space this year in Brinda. It is a Telugu Tamil bilingual tv series. Director Surya Manoj Vangala has directed the entertainer. Writer Padmavathi Malladi has helped with the screenplay. The makers have announced that Brinda will premiere on Sony Liv from 2nd of August.Â
The makers have now released the teaser of the series on social media. Taking to their official X account, streaming platform Sony Liv unveiled the teaser of the Brinda and captioned it, “Brace yourself, thriller fans. The teaser opens to an eerie visual where a child is being prepared for a ritual. While the teaser drifts in a somber and engrossing mood we have a voiceover, “We may have anger, betrayal, and hatred within us. But it is not with these that we should battle. Rather, fight with the good in us, making sure it does not fade away.” When the teaser slips into the tense zone, and the pitch set for dangerous battle a character tells Trisha “Brinda, before you entered this world, it may have been filled with evil! But before we depart, it is our responsibility to fill it with goodness.” Speaking about the project to a leading daily, director Surya Manoj Vangala said, “Brinda’s character has different shades. As the story progresses it gradually explores every layer of it one by one. The series will not just captivate the audience but will make them ruminate on their beliefs. I am glad I got the opportunity to work with Trisha Krishnan. I am grateful that I could scale Brinda into a pan-India series with Sony Liv.”
Casting unit of Brinda includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, and Rakendu Mouli. Music director Shakti Kanth Karthik has composed music for the drama. Cinematographer Dinesh K Babu has been behind the lens. The editing department has been handled by editor Anwar Ali. Stunt masters Chetan D’Souza and Jeevan Kumar have choreographed action moves for the venture. The series is bankrolled by Sony Liv OTT platform.Â
On the work front, actress Trisha Krishnan recently flew to Azerbaijan to shoot for her upcoming drama with Ajith Kumar titled Vidaa Muyarchi directed by story teller Magizh Thirumeni. Following which she will join the sets of Thug Life crafted by auteur Mani Ratnam with actor Kamal Haasan in the lead. The multiregional star has a packed schedule with projects in Malayalam in the likes of Identity directed by Anas Khan and Akhil Paul with actor Tovino Thomas as lead, and Ram helmed by Jeethu Joseph with Mohanlal in lead. The actress also has a Telugu venture named Vishwambhara filmed by Mallidi Vassishta in which she will be seen with actors Chiranjeevi and Meenakshi Chaudhary.Â
